I have experience designing websites in html/css and want to do that full time. I am relocating to a town that only has one main design company. They charge 10 times as much as I usually do, but I have been told that I undercharge and that gives my services an unexperienced feel. I have done over 300 websites for non-profit companies in my area. With all the competition, should I raise my prices ($25.00/page or $500.00/project) to give a more "professional" impression? I need to get more jobs soon so that I can make a larger down payment on the house. I am in the process of learning PHP/SQL which some businesses like, but my ideal client is wanting a personal page, informational page, etc. That is what I usually do for people.

Can this business work or should I just give up now? I want to get more Internet based clients to replace the ones I will lose when I move.

These are slackers or people who were able to weezle "cake jobs" not execs. They also show up late, leave early and disappear for hours (?). The best part is those in charge do nothing about it.

Just found out that my husband took a line of credit against our home to buy land in the country without disclosing our marriage to the lender.

Even though my name is not on the title to the house (he bought it before we married), it has accrued significant value/equity since our marriage. Also he has of course not put my name on the title to the land he recently purchased.

On the "affadavit of borrower" there is a part that says that he is single (if married spouse must also sign).

He signed this affadavit and other papers pertaining to the loan in front of a notary to get this line of credit/loan.

Is it then considered perjury? Anyone have any idea's or thoughts on this whole subject?

OK I am talking about OASDI/EE and MED/EE. I know that the first is something to do with Social Security, and the second is medicare or medicaid. I know that everyone pays these, but I am a little confused.

I work for the State of Connecticut, through the college I attend. I only work 12 hours a week (except the Summer, which I am working anywhere between 20-32 hours). I just got my second summer paycheck, and both of these things are being taken out, which they never have before. I have been working here for three years, and no pay raise sense before last Summer. All that was being pulled out then was federal and state, until this check. So what changed, and should it have? It only adds up to about $45, but I don't make very much anyways. I need to save during the summer because I make so little in the semester. Anyone with REAL answers, thank you in advance.

I thought it was not important, nobody really explained to me. Apparently it is a big deal and I should have done it before. My father claimed me as a dependent till I was 19, after that I think I was supposed to do it on my own. I'm 22 now. Please give me some advice on this. I live in the bronx, ny.

We were living in one apartment and 6 months lease suppose to over on 31st January so we went to give notice on 29th December but by the time we reach.. office was closed. Then weekend and came 1st January holiday due to new year holiday. When we went to give notice on 2nd January .. they didn’t accept and said we were late. But according to our lease we can give our 30 days apartment vacant notice “On or Before 1st of the Month” now technically 1st was national holiday so don’t they should accept our notice on 2nd? Also there is not anything specially written on lease that if 1st day of the month or end of the month falls on holiday then notice must be turn on before those days!!! … so what do you think?

Recently, my company hired a new person for the division I worked for. Before she even started, she changed her title from "administrator" to "manager." Technically, she is not my supervisor, but rather a colleague, although she is higher up than me (there are only 2 of us in our division- it's a small company). Since she began work last week, she has been trying to micro manage me, treats me like I'm an idiot, and basically is trying to upstage me. Just recently, she asked (via email) for a copy of my resume. I find that odd, because she did not cc: our COO (our boss), and I have no idea why she would want it. Does that seem weird to anyone else???? I don't trust this woman, at a welcoming party for her where we were handing out treats, she asked if I wanted to "serve her" or did I want to just pass it to her. I could be paranoid, but there have been a number of things that have made me put up my guard.

My gains on the property are roughly 75000. If I do have to pay does anybody have a rough idea of the percentage or amount i would be taxed?
