I hear the ads on tv, the newspaper....are the deals really as good as they say? Are you able to have the foundation checked, or is it an auction? Looking for general info plz.

Why shouldn't the public be allowed to see why an agent is steering them to a property with a higher commission, or in fact boycotting showing a client a "perfect" property because it has a lower commission?
In fact, why is this practice allowed at all since it's against the law...it's against the Sherman Antitrust Act. This is both unethical and illegal.

I have limited ability to do mark downs or specials. I do have more liberties than some of the larger retail stores, however. I can move things (for the most part) where I like and I can do markdowns on older merchandise but in limited quantities.
I really would just like to get sales up a bit. My corporate office is preaching this but they offer no useful ideas as to how to make it happen. Is there anything I can do?????

Any ideas would be a big help! Thanks!

I filed for divorce back in April. My husband was the person who paid the huge bills such as our mortgage. He is now behind on the mortgage and it's showing up on my credit report. He has also maxed out our joint credit cards. I did get a job, but I'm only making $10 an hour. Making that amount doesn't allow me to pay all of my credit cards and a very high mortgage. I'm hearing that I should declare bankruptcy, but I don't want to do that if I don't have to. Is there anything at all that I can do to get me out of this credit nightmare without going the bankruptcy route. I've already called my creditors and explained the situation. Some were sympathetic with my situation, but others really didn't care. They still want there payments on time. Someone told me credit counselor's, but where do I find them at? So I'm just looking for an option other then bankruptcy to help me out. Any sound information would be greatly appreciated.

I just hate the idea of buying high. Granted, this is for a long term investment (20 years) but I would hate to buy in at the current highs and have to wait 15 years for any substantial gains.

What is the general view that a new investor looking to put new money into the stock market should do? Is now the worst time to invest in an index fund?

Thanks.

I always hear of dow returns and dow returns with dividends included. Does the price given reflect that?

I would think no, but then I went here:

http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=%5EDJI

and it shows the adjusted close is the same as the regular close. So are dividends included?

The cost of producing a number of items x is given by C=mx + b, in which b is the fixed cost and m is the variable cost (the cost of producing one more item).
(a) If the fixed cost is $40 and the variable cost is $10, write the cost equation.
(b) Graph the cost equation.

My vet bill was much larger than expected, due to complications during a procedure to my dog. I am being charged 24% interest or 7$ minimum on the balance each month. This is higher than anyone has charged me, besides the credit card folks. Is this legal?

I am almost 50, work fulltime but have no extra cash after the bills a paid. Although, I am trying all the time to generate more cash. I don't have enough to get a car. Now, the car that I bought my mother (73 years old) brand new 10 years ago, just died and I am in no position to help her either. We live in Detroit and we both need just simple cars before winter. We have always had cars and used them to help so many others in need, like youth and senior citizens. Any serious, but creative ideas out there?
