Plenty of room for you. Examine how much utilities will cost though. My daughter just graduated college and she has lived in a different house/apartment each year while she was in college. The utility bills varied widely. The most expensive were in a Victorian style house that was divided into apartments(she had a one bedroom apt but bills were very high) and a three bedroom house with bad insulation (bills were very, very high). Remember what you may save in rent you could end up giving to the power company. Trailers are hard to keep cool and heat. Might be a factor depending on where you live.

It could be reasonable but you really need to investigate this plan a bit more thoroughly.

Are you planning on owning or renting?

Compare costs, risks and opportunities.

Owning has risks and rewards.. but owning has significant up front and exit costs.. Mobil homes depreciate in value whereas a cheap small house can go up in value..

Apartments are cheap to get into (just a security deposit) but you do not build any equity..

Then there is the social aspects.. I know of some mobile home parks that are very upscale..but usually it is a lesser quality of people you may meet or have as neighbors.. Do you really want to bring a date back to your trailer?

In the end it is a personal choice.. yours..

If you are in an area where tornadoes and high winds are rare, this might be an excellent option for you.
We bought a 2 bedroom trailer from a single lady. She had used the master bedroom for her bedroom, and the second one as a computer room. She also had a bunkhouse in the back yard that was used as her guest room.

If that's all that you can afford it will do in a pinch. If your post-college goal is to live in a trailer though I'd suggest reevaluation of your goals.

Addendum: OK, that's cool. Don't get your knickers in a twist. That was the intent of my answer!

Yes 3 bedrooms are better for resale value!

If you are just renting, I'd say fine. Otherwise, remember that trailers, unlike houses, do NOT appreciate in value.

no. Apartments are better.
They make it through storms.
