Hi, I had an interview at Sears, along with a drug test, last Tuesday ... It is now Sunday. Does Sears usually take this long?. Im worried they hired someone else over me, would they at least call to let me know? The lady who did the drug test said it will take at least three days or is it possible that the lab they sent the results to is closed on weekends, and that is perhaps further adding to the delay?

I will be moving after college and would like to move out of state. The thing is, I would have to have a job first before I do any moving. If I want a job, in lets say, Tennessee, would I have to drive all the way down there for the interview (which is about nine hour drive), or do they do some kind of special over the phone interview? How does the process work for out of state job applying?

Received a letter stating a very distant relative died (no relatives) and since I am related by marriage, i am due to inherit, I am looking for info on this person, do not know birthdate, just approx age and full name, and month of death . Called the probate research company who sent letter and they are ligit but vague on his info and the estate amount, was told amount could change go up or down depending on debts owed. This company wantes 20% of estate. I don't even know what the estate is worth. I don't want to sign, just yet, i want to find this info myself. Help. Any free sites to get info from. I am worried about possible tax implications, I need to find out the estate worth and any possible bad implications for me.

I know everyone has a different idea where you should be and how much you should have at retirement... but how much "typically" should a 28 year old have right now. What is the low end, medium, and high end of what your 401k should be? Also lets say I have 1 million in my account at 65, do i get taxed on it when i pull money out? what is the average tax? thanks!!

shows up when I looked at my credit report. I believe it was from an insurance company for going to the E.R.
That was from 2004 before I was 18.

What should I do about this? Do I need to pay it even though I was a minor at the time? Thanks.

i'm not really sure what career i want to choose but i want something where i can be respected but something i can do..
i wouldn't say i was the smartest in school so i'm not really sure about becoming a doctor. i love the idea of it but i know it involves so much work. what if i get into it and find out i don't like it? will i then be known as a failure? my family wants me to become one but i think they just like the idea of having a doctor in the family. i do want to make them proud though. i don't know f i'm determined or strong enough to do it.

I been at this job for 6 mons now and i cant begin to tell you the things that i have went through. i mean, seriously my boss is a complete *****. It seems like whenever she has a bad day she takes it out on us by screaming at us, calling us all sorts of names (from idiots to retards to the whole nine) and i cant take anymore of this bull **** anymore. I mean, no one has to tolerate this, ya know? To be honest i didnt think i would be here this long either, it is just at that point now where I hate coming in to work because I no matter what I get my head bitten off and screamed at. I am a damn good employee, i go out of my way and do my job because i like it not for her, but the smallest **** ticks her off. Anyways, I am seriously ready to walk to hell outta here I am only concerned because I dont have another job lined up. What do ya'll think, is it worth the hassel now to stick around for a couple of month until i find another job or just take a damn risk and walk the hell out TODAY?

My son has been ill for over 3 years, with on-going medical bills piling up. We traveled to Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN last year, and all the travel expenses broke our bank. Our insurance barely covers the minimum, and it's over $40,000 in bills that we can't cover.

My husband has been working 3 jobs for 2 years now, but we're broke. Any suggestions?

I am a stay at home mother starting up a claims and billing business. My current income comes from my husband. I do not own anything under my name. We are currently renting and my credit score is in the mid 500's. I would like to try to get this loan on MY OWN, but my husband is willing to be my co-borrower if needed. His credit score is in the mid-low 600's and he earns between 45,000 to 50,000 a year. Can I get a loan to start my own business or is my situation so bad that it will just be a dream? Someone please tell me who can help me or just give me a reality check!

i was wandering if someone can help me. my fiance lives with me. we had a huge leak in our kitchen, and it took like 2 months for the landlord and maintenance crew to do something about it. we went over to my fiance's parents' house for a few days. (this was during last month) after that, he came back a day before the landlord and maintence person was going let us know when we can come back home due to severe mold and mildew problems. (the landlord and maintence didn't want anything to do with the severe leak and mold and mildew problem) my fiance also came back by himself to check on my hamster. the game systems were still there before we returned home. now, the next day later, (05-15-2k7) the game systems were stolen. a ps3 (worth $600) and an x-box 360. (worth $300 without the built-in hard drive) the landlord's building insurance company won't replace my fiance's stolen items. the next day after he reported them stolen, we received a "notice to quit." is the landlord right?
