shows up when I looked at my credit report. I believe it was from an insurance company for going to the E.R.
That was from 2004 before I was 18.

What should I do about this? Do I need to pay it even though I was a minor at the time? Thanks.

Since it is on your credit report, then you need it pay it. You are the one who received the services from the ER - who's responsibility do you think it is? Your parents? if you think that, ask them to pay it off for you.

you cant obtain credit before your 18 so it should not be on there. ask for it to be removed! although a bit more complicated than that
