I am a manager and have interviewed a lot of people. First, always dress professional. If you are a man, you should always were dress pants and a tie, maybe a sport coat. If you are a woman, wear a dress/skirt or slacks, nice shoes and a non-revealing top or sweater. Do not dress in clothing that is too tight. As far as what to say, avoid using slang, swears or any other derogatory remark. ( you probably know that). Think about your answers before you speak, try not to say "uhh" in between. Ask questions about hours, wage, benefits, etc. If you do not ask questions, you do not seem interested in the position. That is VERY important! Be interested! There are so many qualified people that I did not hire because they have not seemed interested in the position. They just sat there like a bump on a log! Just breath deeply before you go into the interview and remember to smile!

Dress in a nice frock...no plunging necklines or too much makeup or jewelry...be friendly [smiles, shake hands with each of the interviewers, etc.] but not familiar--no jokes or spontaneous riffs. Let them do the questioning...which for a hostess position will probably relate to how you get along with people and how would you handle a cranky patron who wants to jump the line, etc...[answer to the last part is "In a courteous but firm way about fairness to others..."]. No need to be scared--it's just NEW to you, not threatening! They're probably looking for someone like you and no doubt will want you to be at your ease. Treat them like a nice aunt or uncle, friendly-like. Don't forget to thank them at the end for their consideration, leave with a smile. If they ask you if YOU have questions, the first one you ask should not be about break time, vacations, tips or benefits...let them tell you about the goodies. Good question might be, "How should I dress for my shift? Do you have uniforms?"

Well when you go there, remember you don't want to just be someone who is only talented at giving a job interview and not exactly good at doing the job. You should show that you care about how this restaurant is doing, for example how much money they are earning. Just pretend that the restaurant is yours for a second, think of some of the reasons why you would want this business to be successful, and how you can contribute to this sucess. Now you can tell them this, and they will probably think that you are someone who cares about this business and would take you seriously.

if you're outgoing, let it show in your interview since hostesses are suppose to be outgoing and friendly. smile a lot and don't let the interviewer see your nervous/scared because a hostess is surrounded by people and if he sees you're nervous doing an interview, he won't think you can handle it. be truthful and straightforward when answering his questions. prepare some questions for the interviewer because it shows you are truly interested. also tell him at least two mini-stories about yourself (work it into the interview) to show him the experiences you have dealt with. as for the clothes, you should wear some cute dress pants with a short-sleeved blouse or polo with sandals.
GOOD LUCK :)

First of all, relax! They expect you to be a little nervous, but have confidence in your self.
Look
' em in the eye, and answser yes or no, or I don't know. Nah, or yea, will get you nowhere. Leave the cell phone in the car, and speak clearly and SMILE!
For clothing, be neat and clean, . Ok, you know a mgr from church. What would you wear to church? ? That would do fine.
Hair neat, easy on the jewelry, Ready? Go get "em/!"

wear slacks and a blouse. you can't go wrong by being overdressed. prepare for questions like "why do you want to work for this company" and other open ended questions.
Have well groomed nails because you definately need to extend your hand for the first handshake.
BE CONFIDENT! Even if you're unsure of something if you just act confident they will believe you!
Good luck tomorrow!
