Is there any way that once I pay off these debts and continue to receive good credit, that that score can actually improve and get higher? I am going to be getting a vehicle soon and am planning on getting married in Feb. 2008. Should my credit be good enough if I continue to be "clean" at this point, or should I be worrying????

My husband just received a tax levy for garnishment of wages, and he will be claiming himself and both of our children. My question is, if we are married and filing jointly, and he claims both of the children on the levy, can I still take a deduction for exceeding $1500 in childcare expenses? The forms for levies do not allow for this deduction, so he cannot take it, and I figured that because we are filing jointly, I should be able to claim the deduction because we are paying the childcare costs. Hoping for an answer soon, because we only have until Monday to file this paperwork. Thanks!

I am well familiar with the guidelines around when to pay capital gains taxes on the profits from the same of a primary residence. The scenario I have is that I sold a home after living it for over two years. I then took those proceeds to use as a downpayment on another home. However, the home we bought is not for us and we want to move to something smaller -- only six months after we bought it.

We will take the proceeds of the second home and put it into the third home. However, is there any point during this transaction that I would have to pay taxes on the proceeds from the first home because I'm not waiting two years again? Or will I only pay taxes on the proceeds from the second to third house because it was less than 2 years?

Thanks

Someone once told me that simply all I need is a) a good idea and b) money. What does it really take to be successful business woman?

Or are they only given your credit score? I know I can view my whole credit record online, but can companies you are applying for credit with do the same? Can they find out how much you owe other companies and your repayments etc. Thank you!

Might be able to get a job in the billing department of a company, but I'm not sure if it's a position that's predominantly viewed as one being held by females.

It was described to like this:
Well, you will need to know the difference between accounts payable and accounts receivable (A/P, A/R) and familiar with basic maths skills. You will bill for our sister companies and electronically bill for several big accounts and will also pull deposits, answer phones, and file.

Almost sounds a bit like secretarial work? Girl job or no??
