I know a bankruptcy stays on for 10 years how long does a forclosure stay on? I do plan to buy another house soon,(downsizing as my income has changed) I do not have A bk or forclosure right now but may have soon if my house does not sell in the next 2 months. ANY advice would be very welcome.
The home I am trying to sell is in phoenix AZ and the market here is flooded with homes for sale right now, I cannot afford to wait for the market to turn around so I need to do something NOW, I would even sign the house over to someone-just take over payments! so I can save my good credit.

Melaleuca? I signed up for both, not knowing any better, and now need to work one of the programs and cancel the other.

Which one will provide the most income, given the same amount of time? I only have 4 hours a day to devote to either

I was once a typical and stupid college freshman who was taken in by the credit card companies that were advertising all over campus. It got to a point where I had seven different credit cards that were all maxed out. I was able to eventually take care of some of them, but others I had either lost track of or just could not afford to pay at the time. Two of these past credit card debts are now over seven years old and are no longer on my credit report, but they have just recently sent me a collection notice. I cannot afford to pay these now, I just finished major repairs on a car that we ended up trading in and my mom cosigned a loan for a new car that I desperately needed. PLEASE HELP! Thank you so much.

Can a landlord legally put a clause in a lease that says they will increase the rent 40% if another tenant moves into the apartment? I understand that a new tenant must be added to the lease, but I've never heard of the price of an apartment changing depending on how many people live there.

So if I get married, or if I have a child, the landlord has the right to increase my rent? That doesn't seem right....

Edited to add: Yes, I have a fixed-term lease: one year.

I'm in my mid twenties and still looking for a media related job, its frustrating as I know I have a lot to offer, however most jobs who ask for juniors then contradict themselves by then saying you have to have vast experience in several media applications, like they want to pay minimum money but get loads of hard work done in the process, I find this annoying, does anyone who's been in a similar position, have any useful advice other than "give up", thanks!

I am usually liberal on economic issues, but lets really think about this. The wealthy use the least amount of public services, yet we tax them more?

Is it right to tax people more just because they have more to give?

I know when there are tax breaks, they get the biggest break, but is that really reliable considering they have to wait for the break to come along.

It just seems like a really bad deal for rich people

Is there anyone out there that could come up with a legitimate reason as to why rich people should pay more taxes?

I am a team of 1 and I need some way to raise two thousand dollars by February of 2008 without having to sale cookie dough, sally foster, or stand on the side of street begging for donations. I am a student in high school and we are going on a trip in February to Paris and London and the trip costs $2000 so I need a simple way to raise money without having to pay a whole lot upfront but is highly profitable and there are no catches to it. I know your probably going to say get a summer job but that the thing I'm a year from being able to even qualify for a job. I'm very smart and am willing to work but that doesn't mean I want to mow lawns either.

I understand that there is a limit to voluntary O.T. (my brother works 13 days out of 14 with total hours of 104 to 130..and if sick or not showing up, must either use sick, vacation, or official "non-paid time off"). But what is the limit to the number of hours an employer can force employees to work and can they fire a person for not working overtime?

why do people worship at the alter of the almighty fico score?

why not just save up and pay for things?

You dont need a fico score for a house.
You can save up for a car in a few months with a decent pay check. if you dont have a decent pay check you dont need to be going into debt anyway.

want, want, want.

i am new to ebay, and i am trying to sell my 1GB xd memory card (after a 2 weeks after buying it, used it only once) and selling for half the price i bought it for.....anyway, i set the price at $15.00 ...i just got 1 bid and for some reason the price is still 15.00, my question is, in order to make bid don't you have to at least bid with a price slightly higher then the price i initially set. Is it because it was the first bid i got?

I work for a well known creative firm in town - they hired me on a 1099 basis for a small trial and then promised a salary after 2 weeks. Two months later, I am still 1099 (even though I'm working full time)...I have found out that most employees (there are only 4) don't even take a paycheck because they don't need it and the company perceives anyone who wants to be paid regularly as "selfish and a bother."

They don't pay me regularly - most of the time there's no money to pay bills because the owner has spent it on his personal bills and shopping.

I brought the problem up with my boss and he said that "we're a small business - cash flow problems are normal...you can change things if you want to take the initiative."

Is this situation normal?? They have been in business 12 years, so they are not in the startup mode anymore. Should I stick it out and try to change it and have a great success story for my portfolio or accept that I have different values and move on?

I have income form other agencies as an IC but am growing with private clients, and would like to wean out of the IC status. I do sign confidentiality agreements with my clients, and also at the time receive 1099 from the companies I work with as an IC, I plan on submitting my new EIN and they now want to send me two 1099, one as IC and one with new EIN. does this pose a problem?

I had to go to the emergency room several months ago. My health insurance covered 80% of my total hospital stay. I owed about $1500.00 when it was all settled. I didn't have that kind of money on hand so I sold $2000.00 worth of stocks to pay for it. I have since spent the last $500.00 on prescriptions. I live in Arizona, single, and no dependents. Is there any way I can write this off? I have never itemized during tax season. Or is this something I just have to swallow?
