If I am a State citizen how do the laws of Federal Income Tax apply to me.

Aren't those laws exclusive to the District of Columbia and to those businesses who sell Tobacco, Firearms and Alcohol only?

And as far as the forms sent to me every year telling me to pay based on the monitored earnings attached to my social security number, Internal Revenue Code, Section 6109(d), (I've added the emphasis):

"The SOCIAL SECURITY ACCOUNT NUMBER ISSUED to an individual for purposes of section 205(c)(2)(A) of the Social Security Act shall, except as otherwise be specified under regulations of the Secretary, be used as the identifying number for such individual for purposes of this title."

Search as much as you want, but you won't find an issued account number. Yet, this is what your tax law wants. Every April 15th, you swear a perjury oath to the federal god that you have a number that does not exist

Can someone help answer my question and address"account number"is it a private bank

How many of you have lost a job due to restructuring.??
Could you see it coming?? Were you glad to get out of there? Was your next job as good, or better?? Would you go back if you had the chance?
--
Once the shock wore off, I was glad to be out of there.
I was unemploted for 6 weeks until I found another job. It wasn't what I had in mind but it looked like a decent place to work until something better came along.
As time went on, it became better and better and I stopped looking for something better. Would I go back? NO way. NFW!

I absolutely hate it. It's like you're their psychologist and you have to hear them go on and on about how so-and-so did them wrong and who to stay away from, etc. All that I have to say is... Who cares? Seriously, I really don't care; I'm just here to do my work. I'm not here to listen to you complain about Jesse for stealing your man.

Hello,

We just received a low offer on our house and need to counter offer. My husband does not want us to give a counter offer-hoping to get a full offer from someone (or at least close to our asking price). I feel we should at least acknowledge the offer today or give a high counter back.

I'm also excited and anxious because the house has only been on the market for two weeks in this slow market (Long Island), and I don't want to lose out on a buyer.

Is it cheaper to buy land and build a house on it than it would to buy a house of exactly the same size and on exactly the same type of land in the same location? (sorry if confusing could not really explain it)

And, figuring that you wanted to live off the money from the sale for the rest of your life, have money to support your family, and leave bunches of it for your family after you pass, how would you invest it? (Serious and legal answers only, please.)

Thanks!

I am 17 years old and have been trying for a few weeks to get a job. I have my first interview tomorrow (thankfully), but in case that doesn't work, I need a back up plan. I've applied to almost ten stores, and the only store to actually give me an interview was Target, where I filled out the application in the store. I was told that I failed the assessment tests at both Sears and Best Buy, and there's a good chance I failed at all of the stores that I couldn't get in touch with too. I am a straight A student in Honors and College-Level courses, and I really don't see why I can't get a job! Sadly, there is no place to put my GPA on applications.
What can I do to pass these tests? They are the personality tests that you take while filling out the application.

We need a fast sell that won't ruin his already ruined credit. A friend told me about a sale type in which the buyer assumes payment of the mortgage and the deed, but the sellers name remains on the mortgage so not to ruin, and possibly help his credit. He said it was a new "back-door" in realestate. any idea what this type of sale is called??

i met up with her and she didn't even have direction of where we were going. One of the houses she got the address wrong, the other one, she didnt know the entrance to the house or if someone is home to show us the place. and she also didnt have a pen, we had to ask the owner for one. When we got in she was ok looking around and making recommendations, but i feel that may be she is not professional. she was even singing and playing her radio. should i switch to a different agent, i havent signed anything with her yet.

I bought some apple stock which has been quite good to me in the last few months. I was watching the ticker quite a bit today as apple took a nice little nose dive. Just checked the price at about 5:30, after hours, and it showed the stock went up over 3 dollars in after hours trading. I was very happy to see this, but then the next change in the ticker on yahoo finance showed it trading at -.05. How can a swing of 3 dollars on a stock after hours happen instantly. Was this a fluke? How can after hours trading have such large and instaneous price fluctuations, what going on here?

I was told by a mortgage company that I can request that a debt in collections be removed from my credit report without having yet paid the entire debt. I do make monthly payments and would like to request for this to be removed from my report to bring up my credit score. I do not know how to go about requesting this. I have a letter started for the company, but have no idea how to word this so that I don't sound completely retarded. Any advice on how to word my request?

Neat commercial, and "feel-good", yet if "people are smart", would they have been led to slaughter so easily from the realtors, escrow companies and banks who promoted those adjustable/interest only loans to people who could not in reality even afford a home?

Or was this a way to stoke the fire, and keep the profits coming hand-over-fist?

Take a look at the pump next time you fill up...it costs less today to produce a gallon of gas than in 2000, yet the price is up nearly 250% than 2000.

Whatever it takes, make that sale...
