We are currently in the process of purchasing a home. However, after having a thorough termite inspection, we found that the shed, which is about 15-20feet away from the main structure, has termites and carpenter ants. The home, which is made of brick, didn’t seem to have any problems. However, as the termite inspector noted, in Maryland they only inspect up to 3feet away from the structure and so they couldn’t see if there was any termites around further than that.

My question is, since termites and carpenter ants were found in the storage shed next to the home, would they migrate over to the main structure? Would they cause depreciation in the value of the home?

We are already in the process of signing the final contract and this was a last-minute thing that we did, a fast response would be greatly appreciated.

I have an assignment in my marketing class. We have to come up with a new name and slogan for (1) a sports (energy) drink and (2) a vitamin drink. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. My professor gave us an example of what she came up with and for the energy drink she came up with the name REV. I have a couple of ideas already but any new ones would help.

So I was browsing craigslist to find myself an office job. I found an ad I had some interest in, and sent them my resume. They emailed me back with their website, and asked me if I was interested in their organizations. The organization's goal is to try to spread different types of cultures around the city, states, everywhere. They hold cultural concerts and art showcases in the city. I really want this job, but I am not sure what to reply with in my next e-mail to show that I can contribute to the success of their organization. Please help? Thanks in advanced!

I'm not too familiar with these, but I read up a little about cashier's checks and certified checks... basically what they are. They seem to be pretty much the same thing. Is that true? Was wondering if there are any fees associated (that the bank charges) when getting either a cashier's check or a certified check (both of them have fees, neither of them, if only one has fees attached please specify which one) Essentially, which of the two would be the better one to get if I'm thinking about keeping the fees charged to a minimum? Or do the fees being applied really depend on the bank from which you are getting the cashier's check or a certified check...? If I have an account with the bank, are the fees waived? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks!

the tenant vacated their apartment, and a day later my roof was leakin, i had an estimat for 4,000 in damages. the upstairs condo owner left a note to contact her and she had a couple different estimators come in all around the same 4,000 price range, after that, i was no longer able to contact her. when i finally contacted her, she stated she would have helped but she thought i was being ''greedy''. mind you, there is mold growing on my walls and ceiling at this point. anyways, she says i need to take the tenant to court. i just find it strange that she was willing to take care of it until she found out how much it was really going to cost. i just need to know which i am supposed to take to court, i just thought i am supposed to take the owner, and then the owner is supposed to take the tenant. and advice? im in Oklahoma

I have been in my house for 1 year. But my real state agent never went over the inspection report with me, not only that I didn't even get a termite inspection. I am a first time home buyer, I'm only 27 and my sister is 21. These are some of the things we didn't know, and our real state agent didn't act fairl by at least telling us what we were getting ourselves into. In fact I just found out, her name doesn't even appear in any of the documents we signed. NOWHERE AT ALL !! Me and my sister don't know exactly what to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks yahoo community.

Im currently 15, and I'm damn tired of waiting to get through high school and college to start making some serious money. I am a very motivated, smart teenager[4.0 with honors classes] and I believe that through some light research I have done, that the stock market is the way to go. I was reading about mutual funds and all this different stuff, but i figured why not probe Yahoo Answers for some info. What is the best way to get some money fast using the Stock market? What to invest in, what to trade, what broker to use, etc. A jump start in the right direction is really what I need here, as i jsut got some money and I am dying to invest it. I was hoping to get 1 mil in a couple years and eventually check out some hedge funds. Any help is appreciated.

but this is a unique situation.
My husband and I need some help. I am visually impaired and am dealing with other neurological disorders that mostly involve motor function. (walking, lifting, climbing, etc) I can no longer drive. But I can adjust my computer to compensate for my eye issues.

My husband is working full time at a factory making 14.25 an hour. (Just to let you know where we are financially.) This job is going to Mexico in less than a year, so between the two of us, we need to replace his income. I say both of us because I would love to find a job that we can both do from home, so he can be here to assist with housework and taking care of our two boys, and yet we'll have enough income to pay the bills.

If you have any ideas or suggestions about online job opportunities (NOT our own business...we can't afford to take a chance on it's success or failure) I'm all ears.
Thanks in advance
Blessings

We're about to buy a house. Our agent wasn't instrumental in the process at all. We did everything.

So Is the 3% to pay an agent written in stone, or is it (or can be) negotiable?
