The application part where it says "your past employment & experience" ---

besides tutoring and teaching random kidsf from my church how to play the violin
oh, and a temporary job as a pet sitter over break (which ended as my employer and i got into a huge argument)
I HAVE NOTHING!!

Problem is, I don't keep in contact with any of the kids I used to teach... and the pet sitting employer will probably say bad things about me if contacted...

questions are:::
1]]] so SHOULD I JUST NOT WRITE DOWN ANYTHING and pretend i never worked????!!!?? 2]]] ...or do you think it's a good idea write down different # (for the tutoring part - since i was privately employed)?

3]]] or if i put all the info down and check "no" where it says "could we contact that employer?"...............will they really not contact them?

4]]] and for that, will they think weird - like all suspicious and stuff???

help me pleasee!!!

I will be graduating from college in August, and I have a job interview next week! I am pretty nervous and have a few questions. Since this is my first "professional" job interview - what type of things can I expect? What should I wear? Is there anything I can do to increase my chances, or is it ultimately up to them in the end?

Suggestions, ideas, and motivations appreciated! ^_^

I've been looking for a job for a while in computer techology and I just moved to Fallbrook, CA so I decided to apply to various jobs around the area. Long story short, I applied to the Casino and was hired as a reservations agent with low pay but great, full benefits. Now, they are doing a long, extensive background check. In the process I received an offer from another place. It's a less known company but they also have benefits and the position would be in a computer related field.

Here are the two companies and position:
Casino

Other company
http://adicio.adicio.com/careers/jobsearch/detail?state=CA&jobId=1069158&viewType=main&networkView=main&offset=

Any suggestions?

I just opened a mutual fund account for long term savings and plan to invest around $150 a month. I will not sell any shares or take any money out of this account for about 10 years. How do I handle taxes with this? Do I just claim the amount of earnings each year when I file my taxes, or does this get claimed when I sell?

I most recently worked as an office supervisor/executive assistant. I started as a receptionist & worked my way up over the next 3 years. My existing skills include: typing, filing, proficient in MS Office (although I only have working knowledge, not mastery, of Excel), experience with PhotoShop, friendly & professional phone manner, etc. I have a college degree, but not in a business field.

Specifically, I am looking into taking classes to increase my employability. I have considered studying to get the MS Office certifications. I am also curious about what the local tech school's "Medical Coding" classes are.

Any thoughts? Especially from anyone who does hiring, what would you look for in terms of training/education for an office worker?

I am having some really BS issues with the customer service at my apartment, as i would imagine most renters experience. I have talked to the twit of a manager and have been left with bs and empty promises, all in the sweetest tone of course.

I would just like to know who is generally above the property manager and how do you get ahold of that person? I would call the office but they never know anything.. how convenient, right?

anyways, thanks.

My stepdaughter, who moved in with us, was seen in the emergency room in December. When I signed the consent for her to be seen, it showed her gaurantor as her mother, meaning that she was responible for her medical bills that insurance did not cover. Now the mother has called the medical center and refused to pay, and they are threatening to turn us in to a collection agency. There is no legal custody of the daughter, and the mother does not pay child support. My question is, since I signed the consent, which stated that the birth mother was the guarantor, and it was witnessed by the medical center employee, shouldn't that be a legal and binding agreement through both parties? We pay for her health insurance, car insurance, clothes, food, everything. Can they change us to her gaurantor without our consent?

My best friend posted an ad on Craigslist searching for a roommate. The deal was 1/2 hourse share for $550 a month. Well, things have gotten pretty bad lately. She's only lived there for a little over two weeks now. The lady has moved a whole house-load of her things in - I am talking about floor to ceiling boxes of things. They never signed any type of agreement. The woman told my best friend that she was a dental assitant, but come to find out, she doesn't even have a steady job! She does temp work when she can get it. Beside not paying on time, she has so far accused my friend's son of having lice (his head is shaved, by the way), has gone to my friends daycare to see if she wanted to enroll her son there and blew up on the teachers there and is now texting/calling my friend several times a day saying horrible things like, " no wonder you and your husband couldn't stay together and I am not going to mother you." My friend said she has to go, but the lady won't leave. Help!

my mother-in-law works for h&r block during the tax season. although she doesn't do our taxes for us, i was wondering if she could still look at our tax information by keying in our social security numbers? my husband and i decided to hire an accountant to do our taxes because when she used to file them for us she always told everyone how much money we made for the year. also our accountant who does our taxes now, files them through h&r block as well.

BESIDES the savings on commissions. Why else would you sell by yourself?

For those of you that have been successful..... How long did it take and how much money did it cost you for advertising and supplies? For those that weren't successful.... How long before you hired a Realtor and how much money did you lose trying to sell on your own?

I am 28 and would like to switch careers and have always wanted to present the news on t.v. I really belive I would excel at this but do not know where to start. I know I need to begin with an entry level position but I'm not sure how to go about it. All of the online sites suggest an internship but at this point in my life I cannot work without pay. Does anyone have any expertise/suggestions on this?

I sublet a room from someone. As the landlord is selling the house, we have to move out within a month. My roommate has the lease and rented this house for more than 10 years. There are lots of things that require attention around the house. Recently, we have troubles closing up the garage door. Sometimes, it works well. Sometimes, it doesn't. I had asked my roommate if he plans to fix it or calls on someone to work on that thing. He said 'At this point, I don't want to do anything.' When I tried to hit the button to close the garage door last night, I heard a big cracking noise. I think something was broken with the chain. My question is if I need to take full responsibility for that. I have told my roommate something is wrong with the garage door. He decided not to take any actions. I feel like we are playing the musical chair. I am just the unluncky one.

My roommate is known for a deadbeat. When the other guy moved out, my roommate deducted a huge amount of deposit. They had a big fight over this. The other guy did clean up the place very nice. Also, he is not a smoker. I just don't understand what my roommate's excuses on deducting a huge amount of deposit. My roommate still has $600 deposit from me. I just worry if I can get that back.

P.S. The landlord doesn't know my roommate is subleting the house to other people.
