It differs by state. Some you need to go into the DMV and some you can do it online. Look up Dept of motor vehicles and type in your state. Their website should tell you.

You don't say what state you live in but most states now have a Department of Public Safety website where you can get the form online, fill it out, send them a money order for $10 or so, mail it in, and you'll get your new driver's license in a couple of weeks. It'll have your old picture on it but what the heck. You fulfilled your civic duty to inform the DPS of your whereabouts. If you don't do this and you get stopped you can get a big, giant ticket if you haven't done it within 30 days of moving....
