:) Ok, so my next question is this....We live in Texas, My fiance was in the Navy for about half of 2005. But when he went to file his taxes last year, he couldn't because he never recieved his W2 forms from the Navy. So in turn he never filed. We haven't heard anything from th IRS, so when he files this year will the IRS just take out what he ows from his Tax return this year? Or will they FINALLY notify him or what? As you can tell we are young and no nothing about this sort of thing... :) Thanks for your help!

I make $45K gross, take home $32K net, and we are struggling with bills, and can't save enough for a house fast enough.

Can you imagine how people working for $8-$12 an hour are doing? What about people making $12-$16 per hour?

I have to assume that 3/4 of The USA makes less than $20 or so per hour, and have no clue how much the pay ranges are above us! I'm not the only one struggling either at $45K, I asked some co-workers (who make MORE than I do!) about their income and expenses, I was AMAZED that I am not alone!

So, my QUESTION IS:

How does the "average" USA Citizen make it?
What are your ways of being frugal?
Also, if you want to answer, what gross pay range is considered "middle class"?

Any answers to this whole topic of "low income" are welcome!

I am 23 and I have a college degree so I do not want to sell myself short. My hearing loss is 100% in one ear and about half in the other and is a result of a fairly recent surgery. Needless to say, phone work is not ideal and I wear a hearing aid in my "good" ear but it is not enough to make much difference. Any suggestions?
