Basically do you think that if we payed CEO's and sports figures (say Beckman and his 250 million contract) less and put that back into the economy some way; would you be for a Min wage hike!!!

My landlord knows my husband lost his job two months ago and has been working at a labor finder place to just pay the rent and basically get by up until he finds another good job. We have four small children, so I have to stay at home to watch them. My landlord insists on charging us a late fee- 10% of whatever we are late even though our expired lease says after 10 days we have to pay the fee. She claims it is because we have been late for a few months now and gas is expensive that she has to come to pick up the late rent. Late by less than 10 days every month too (always either 7 or 8 days). Our lease expired a year ago and the landlord has failed to make another one. Thank you for your answers!!!

its much more convenient to travel on trains and taxis then driving a car yourself a couple of hours to get to a meeting with a client. and you are wasting time that could be spent on working on train.

if this is money, my estimation says there is little difference in costs for both approches....so ?

I found someone who has agreed to co-sign a credit card for me; what is the next step? Also, if the co-signer defaults on his other credit card, will that ruin my credit too? Or does it depend only on the card that he co-signed for me?

My wife was hit by another car about a year ago. She broke two fingers quite badly. She had 2 surgeries, temporary pins, and a year of physical therapy. Now the insurance company is ready to settle.

We added up all of her medical bills and found them to be about $40k. They paid $20k to the appropriate places, and another $20k to our personal insurance. Also, about half of the bills were for physical therapy; the other half was surgeries, ER visit, doctors' bills, etc.

How much of an insurance settlement should she expect to get *on top of* the coverage for the medical bills?

Details:
It was the ring finger and pinky on her non-dominant hand. She'll have permanently restricted movement in half of that hand. There's also some scarring and permanent (pretty mild) swelling. However, she's 24 and still in school, so there was no loss in income; and it shouldn't affect her ability to do any work in her field. She does have trouble doing things like wielding a knife and fork, though

Was looking around on the net for a business idea add on, already have a successful window cleaning business but was kind of thinking those massage chairs you see in malls and shops might be an easy money earner as an add on business, does anyone operate one currently or have done in the past and think its a waste of money.

I worked in a customer service job for a month. I loved answering questions and helping people, and listening to their concerns.
However, it wasn't the job for me. It also dealt with sales. I'm not a salesperson--I'm not aggressive/persistent enough.
I felt the products were not legitimate--they were for weight loss, "male enhancement," and memory loss/depression.
My supervisor told me when she let me go I wasn't meeting the minimum requirements for convincing people to keep the products, but if I wanted a reference, she'd be happy to give me one. This makes me think she liked me as a person, but felt I wasn't cut out for the job.
My question is, how do I explain the situation to prospective employers without sounding negative? I hated the rude people who treated me like crap. If I'd known the job would be in sales, I would never have taken the position.
Also, what are my chances of being hired by someone else? Will they understand I wasn't cut out for that? Thanks!

Our dept is moving into new office building. Our acquisition dept is handling the lease.

Out of curiousity-what things are needed in negotiating an office lease? This building is going to support at least 20 employees.

Thanks...
