I don't think so. I used to get told off for putting my feet up on the desk... (with shoes on!!!)
I think it is about time we all grew out of our cultural strictures and actually concentrated on getting good results - in business and politics/humanity generally. We're all too concerned about bullshdust.
There is no doubt that people must learn to modify their behaviour to suit different circumstances, but all of the dress code stuff is simply a facade. I have a theory that the areas of business that require suits, ties etc do so due to questionable ethics and behaviour within their profession that must be covered up with fancy looking clothes.
Lets look at the list.
Real estate agents, lawyers, bankers, insurance sales, insurance generally, finance industry etc.
We could also include policemen, priests, journalists, politicians!!! Quite a list.

It can be if your boss walks up to your desk and you need to leave the desk, it is never recommended to do so, because even though you may have clean feet odors are present, I'd say you could do that if you work by yourself or there is no one around, otherwise you need to keep your shoes on to be safe.

I think the best person to ask would be your supervisor, don't you? I mean if your boss discovers you with your shoes off and objects, are you going to say that the majority opinion here on YA said that it's OK?
If I were your supervisor and your feet were hidden behind your desk, I'd tell you to go ahead if it makes you more comfortable and productive.
I bet your boss says the same!

It is absolutely unprofessional to remove your shoes at work even if it is just at your desk. Keep your shoes on

I like it myself,
but as long as no one can see your feet, then what is the problem....
but I would ask your supervisor and suggest when asking it makes you work better while your siting at your desk, and when you get up you put them on, no one will see your feet..
( I personally feel that is a sad thing seeing you must have pretty feet)
but ask your supervisor...
good luck
