My partner and i want to open a cafe.We have capital but have never done anything like this before and don't know where to start.Do we need any kind of licence to prepare and serve food?

I was ordered by my doctor last week to eat every couple of hours because of a medical condition causing extremely low potassium. So I have been bringing fruit, raw vegetables, and juices to work and eating them at my desk every couple of hours. I've always eaten lunch at my desk because my job does not allow for a lunch break. I received an email from my boss on Monday informing me that I will no longer be allowed to eat at my desk. I emailed back and pointed out that some people have medical conditions that require them to eat often and that I cannot leave my desk most days in order to go elsewhere to eat. I never received an answer back so I assume that policy stands. I am also in a work environment where others eat at their desk including my boss. I am not serving the public and my desk is the only one in the far corner of a basement office, far away from the front door and customers. I am not in a union environment so what are my rights in this case?

I don't know if I should post this or not but I recently moved 300 miles from where I used to live. Every year I would get back on my taxes anywhere from 3000 to 4000 but when I went to file the other day all they could do was 1600. I don't know the difference. A friend told me he must have been a little shady and found some loop holes cause the more he gets me back the more he gets paid. Ok, so I need to know some one in the Chattanooga TN or Dalton GA or even surrounding areas that could help me. Any info would be great or you can e-mail me at tim_stewart68@yahoo.com.

I babysat 2 little boys. I got paid from the DPW I have no proof other than what I wrote down. The DPW will not give me a paper stating that they paid me. What do I do? If I have to file taxes can I claim my daughter? Does anyone know how much it costs to file?

I have almost two years of purchasing experience for a fastener and hardware (wholesale) distributor to the RV and housing industries. I am looking for a better paying job with more flexible hours. on a w2, can you an employee elect do pay in $0.00 all year, but have the employer collect solely for fica and ss?
been with the same company for 3 years, i filled out a w4 when i first started. i just recived my w2 today, and it has federal blank, but fica and social security paid in.
looked at both '04 and '05, and i had paid in.
somehow, no clue how, but on my '06, this box is blank, i looked thru paystubs from 04-05, and fed wt is listed on the pay stub, but it is not listed at all on '06.
of course i want to know how this happened, but can the legally submit $0.00 thru out the year. i filed for them to take it out, really, whats going on here?
i understand i am solely financially liable, but is there anything i can do other than have them change the way its filed. have i any recouse? or something??!

But when she asks me the reason why i quit,do you think i should tell her the truth? The first day i worked here,i didn't know i couldn't have lunch in the office. I have recently rolled over some higher interest credit card debt over to 0% interest cards to pay off faster. Is is better for my FICO score to leave them open or close them? I have heard to do it is better to close them from a financial advisor on TV but recently asked a accountant who said to leave them open. So now I am unsure about which way to go with them.

I revamped his entire company over the past 5 months with verbal commitment of partnership and certain monthly salary (all of which he didn't follow through with.) In revamping, I hired a sales staff and trained them. Trained office staff. Created entire marketing materials and sales kit. Then contacted nearly 100 companies which some day will turn into business for him down the road. Gave corporate presentations and presented at trade shows. During this time he payed his personal bills with business money and spent money poorly while his wife screwed up the books (all while paying her off the books.)

Do I have any legal recourse on this guy...I've got a family to feed and no job.

Right now we have a fixed 30 year 8.25% rate...

I ended up filling out some stuff online because of how low rates are right now, and we are starting to get calls back from lenders... However, i'm not really sure exactly what kind of rate I should ask for, what is a good rate for a 30 year fixed mortgage?

What kind of other things should I ask to get before switching lenders? What extras should I get, i'm not looking for consolidation or extra "quick" money out of this...

I just want to know what to demand, when they start offering so I can say something like "well, we wont go with you unless we get this..."

I've been in some man.homes and the walls look and feel like they're only 4 inches wide and when you walk you can hear your steps. I've got 3 boys and I just don't know if a manuf.home could withstand them. My mother has a man.home/trailer and that's where am getting my experience. Is hers just on the lower end of the market? Are manuf. homes as sturdy as a stick built/brick home?
