My landlord has left a queen size mattress, broken TV, carpets, computer and many wooden pallets lying in the back yard for weeks that werent there when i moved in. The lease says that the landlord would keep the premises. Is i feel like im living in the projects. the landlord promised multiple time they'd remove it. they havent. im tired of waiting. and theres many other things that they have breached also. but wuld this be enough to get out of my year lease and get my deposit back?

I also pay mortgage, around $2300/mo, around $860/mo for the car. Income is $95k/yr and about $8k/mo. I know that lenders tend to have a limit of some percentage of your income allowable to be used up in credit, but what percentage is that? How much more credit can I take for another car?

I'm actually getting the minimum pay because they derived it from my previous job which offered a discounted pay since it is in the countryside. How do I tell these corpo people that I need a raise without really getting them offended.

I sublet a studio apartment on June, it was month to month. I moved out on August. I gave USD$ 1,000 as a security deposit and after all this time the lady didn't get me my money back. She was out of the country but she came back 1 month ago. I asked her again this week and she said that when I left the landlord found some damages and she will keep between $200 or $300 to fix them. First I'm pretty sure I didn't made any damage, but I have no pictures to prove it, second I don't know why she didn't mention this when I asked her about the deposit.

Do you think she can keep that money for the damage, even when is 3 motnhs after?

With all the identity theft going on these days, why don't the credit card and loan companies require a fingerprint to prove identity? You know, ask certain questions that only the person applying for credit would know (birthplace, mother's maiden name, streets you have lived on, schools attended, etc). I know these are general questions, but would a thief go through all the trouble to find out all these and more answers? Then once the company is satisfied with the answers, send a signature required package to the home address of the applicant, with instructions on how to obtain the fingerprint. Then change all the machines in the stores to be able to scan the fingerprint to verify identity? Does anybody else think this is a good idea? I know it would be a tremendous amount of work and $ for the companies to switch over, but in the whole scheme of things with all the money they lose yearly to identity theft, it makes complete sense to me. What do you think?

I am 29 and barely remember the commercials...so I am guessing it has been 20 years or so. WalMarts demand for cheap products has forced manufacturers to send their jobs out of the country where labor costs are a fraction of what they are in the US. To compete, other retailers must also find product sources outside of the country, sending even more jobs abroad. A whole industry has exploded because of stuff being too cheap..storage buildings..its a "buy more crap we dont need just because its cheap" attitude and pay someone to keep our old stuff..insanity! Another industry has been eliminated, repair shops. Why have it fixed when a new one is cheap. I hear radio commercials about debt consultation services all day. IT ISN'T THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES FAULT....ITS YOURS MR. 40K IN CREDIT CARD BILLS. Thanks to the bull crap advertisers throw at you all day...folks think they are entitled to the all the shiny new junk coming in from china everyday even if they cant afford it.
