I have invested term deposit of Rs.10,000/- this year with a scheduled commercial Bank for a period of 5 years. I understand that this amount is eligible for claiming deductions under Section 80 CCC. My employer says that this is not implemented so far. I want to know whether my contention is correct. If it is correct, please let me know from where I can gather the authenticated information and submit it to my employer. Thanks.

I and about 800 other people were hired to work at Dalimer-Chrysler as 2 year contract employees. Well, most of us havent even made it 6 months before we got laid off or fired. We have a lawyer and need to raise money so that we can afford the lawyer. Alot of peoples lives have been destroyed by this and some of us have came from the other side of the United States and/or quit our jobs that we had for 10 or more years. What we need to know is how do we get sponsorship to raise the money to sue them

I have 8 years of experience in Software Development and related fields (Consulting, Web Development, Windows/Unix Software, etc...) - I have worked with more than 50 clients from about 5 nations in the past, receiving only superior feedback. I hold a customer satisfaction ratio of 9.58 out of 10 (best) at RentACoder.com.

Also, I have on-site experience in the U.S., U.K and Europe.

Additionally, I have launched a couple of products on my own which have been featured in magazines and on numerous blogs.

Currently, I am self-employed and I am planning on setting a fixed hourly rate. I was trying to figure out the best, justified rate for my situation and found that $60/hour would be ok.

Am I charging too much, too less, or how can I support my decision? (I have gotten the numbers from various salary surveys and reports and put myself into the average category).

Your help is very much appreciated!

Thank you

I've been working in Customer Care for a fortune-500 company for almost 4 years now. Back then the starting pay for my position was $8.24 an hour. I've received 2 merit increases & am now making $8.94 hourly. I have heard from people in several different training groups that new hires entering my position off the street have been told by HR that starting pay is $10.04 hourly. Ethics aside, do I have any right to investigate further & demand that I be paid at least what the starting pay is for my position? If so, how do I go about this? Technically, employees aren't allowed to discuss salary, at risk of termination. I don't want to jeopardize anyone else in the process. (By the way, the reason I haven't had any more increases in pay is because of the way the local management uses this elaborate point-system to determine whether or not we get a raise --it's all about these numbers, and NOT about customer service, which I am actually excellent at).
