Remember that EVERY job be it movie star or ditch digger will suck sometimes. Everyone wants to chuck it all now and again.
Whatever you do, don't impulsively quit. If you want a career change by all means go for it. But make sure you've got something before you leave your current job. As much as you may not like it, a regular paycheck is something we all need all the time. As far as what you REALLY want to do, if you were able to make a living at something you truly love to do you'd be most fortunate. It's called work for a reason. It's not supposed to be fun. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try, but have realistic expectations. Maybe you could do one thing to provide an income and something else for personal satisfaction. Everyone goes through what you're going through. At least you are talking about it and looking for some answers rather than go through life being miserable. Keep at it and you'll find a way.

There are jobs that involve traveling. I see ads in the paper for them all the time. Seek one of them out. It might atleast be worth a try, and if you find you don't like it you can always quit and go into something else. You don't say, but I sense that you're still young. Therefore, it isn't necessary that you find your niche on the employment scene right away. Time is on your side. Take advantage of it.

Happiness is not having what you want, it is wanting what you have.
If you must look for new work, think about what you would do if money wasn't an issue, and find a job in that field.
If you don't want to travel alone, then you probably already know who you want to travel with. Why aren't you with that person more?

You may want to try or consider working as a tour guide and/or tour leader, if it is indeed your cup of tea. The pay is likely to be less than what you have been getting though.

Get good at something. Value yourself and your time and make sure whatever you choose to do that it leads to your ultimate goal.
And if you don't know what that is...just imagine a genie appearing and asking what you want?
SO what would you do if you knew you couldn't fail and were absolutely going to achieve it?
Good luck.
