I had always figured I would be a biologist, because there is a future in it. I don't actually like math or science. I like a bunch of things, but those jobs don't have a secure future. I want to do what I like, but I want to have a job that has a future in it. What should i do?

When I started college I had a few different ideas of what I wanted to do and each time I'd tell my parents they would say "There isn't any money in that" or "you can't make a living doing that". So I ended up dropping out of college because I didn't know what I wanted to do. I have a decent job now but hate it most days and am trying to figure out how I can go back to school while raising my boys and not putting too much financial burden on my husband. If I could do it all over again I'd get my degree in what I wanted to do. It only gets harder as you get older to go back to school.

Do what you love. Money really isn't everything. If you are doing what you love than you'll be happy in life and find a way to get what you need. You have to work for the majority of your life and do you really want to be unhappy five days a week for the rest of your life?

If I were you I would go to your local Community College or any other source that would let you take a job personality test. Its free and all you do is answer some questions about what you are like and how you live your day to day life. When you are finished you can pick from a list of jobs that are most suited towards your personality and talents. This is very helpful and can help you steer clear from getting a job that you would not be happy with years down the road. Good luck.

What is your passion? Really? Think about that. I'm in healthcare because there was a future in it. I hate it. But am good at it. My pasion is design but that requires another $10,000 or so degree so no can do. Ask your heart what your passion is...that is what will make you happy. Good luck.
