The place burned down this past september, and the insurance company won't pay me the remaining balance owed to me because i don't have the title to the place. i did some homework and discovered that the park actually financed to me a mobile home with someone else's name on the title! the park says that they will file for a title but that was back over 8 weeks ago. do i have grounds for a lawsuit? i have heard that a mobile home was similar to a car; when you get it, the title comes shortly. i never saw the title to mine. all i have as proof of ownership is the contract. is this illegal? should i hire an attorney?

So I'm going to be graduating with a non-business related undergrad major. Should I get an entry-level finance job first - would I gain the necessary skills in that job to sit for the CFP exam? I've researched certificate programs, but they seem to be geared toward professionals who've already been working for a while, and as I won't have had any finance-related work experience, I'm not sure I can join those programs. What's with the graduate school programs in financial planning - they only exist in unheard of schools. Not that I have to go to a big name grad school or anything, but my undergrad school is UC Berkeley, so I was wondering if it would be looked down upon for me to then get a masters in financial planning from an unknown school like Widener University. So what should I do? Advice please, Thanks! :D

Last night my work had their Christmas party and awards night. all year I have had the same team leader and we work really well together. I have worked outside of my normal working hours for no extra pay, I have been the one can could count on at all times to help with team moral etc. She constantly tells me positive stuff and encourages me. I have been asked to enter the first step to entering "management", I have been praised by all of the bosses for my work and have consistently exceeded goals and responsibilities set down for me by myself, my team leader and upper Management.
Last night my team leader gave "Team Leader - staff member of the year" Award to another persn! This other person is always in trouble for mucking around and taking jokes too far. He never works outside his hours, he isn't helpful to anybody in our team, he sticks to himself unless it benefits him...
He is kinda cute do you reckon it is because of this?
Do you think I should approach my team leader?

I hold a 3 year diploma from a Swiss school and tons of experience in my area of expertise. What I dont have is a Bachelor's degree, because I couldnt afford my last year of school. So, a couple of weeks ago, I gave an interview to a high-power firm. I lied about having a degree, because I wanted the job oh-so-much. I couldnt sleep and fessed up to the Senior Associate of the new company a few minutes ago. I now await their response. Was confessing a right thing to do? Or did I just kiss goodbye a grand career opportunity?
