one billion dolars and what would you do with it?

That is more than most of us need to spend for out entire lives. What would you do to help society with the one billion?

All so far would not be of any help to society. Those that do have billions are using that money to provide jobs for you and I. It is the rich that make it possible for us to have at leaqst some of it. It takes a lot to build a factory no matter where.

I'll deposit all the one billion dollars. 100% of all the interests earned will be distributed to all the needy and poor people throughout the world and these humanitarian charitable undertakings will be sustained in perpetuity until all the people will live in contentment... but with these important requirements: people will live in harmony, abolish jealousies and hatred, love one other and to believe in one and only God.

Well. One billion dollars. Um....thats obviously more than how much i believe i can earn in my life. Fine, if i get one billion dollars, i'd probably educate myself in one of the best universities around the world first. And then buy myself a home and a few other things which has been a dream for me. finally, id just try start a charity organisation and help people live a better life and give an oppurtunity for everyone who needs it. hmmm..thats about it.

I am not sure I can fathom that much money. Perhaps with 5 million, myself, my family, and my friends would be more than set for life, and I would give the rest to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, because they are already a well-honed charitable machine and would know better how to distribute funds where they are most needed.

first of all i'd love to feed people who doesn't get food. first in my country and then in the entire of the world. SO MANY people out there can not eat properly like u do guys, so at least if i have 1 billion $, i can feed them all. AMEN

Buy an island and start my own country,build a castle and crown myself king,and collect taxes from people who want to live on the island,but my immigration guidelines would be strict,and I would have border guards surrounding my island.
Would spend most of it on defense to defend my country.
There would be no abortion clinics there,no crime,but yes there would be tons of bars ,restaurants,casinos,like a island paradise where cruise ships would come with tons of passengers dropping off their American $$ to infuse my economy.
Yes I would have a harem of women surrounding me most of the time,some of them might even be my personal body guards.

I would use it all on surguries for deformed people, new limbs for amputees, and whatever was left after 10 years would build universities in Africa. Education is what will save the world!

I would build the world's biggest cruise ship and turn it into its own floating nation state. I would create a clone and have my brain transplanted into it so I could live forever.

Go to Iraq with Chick Tracts and offer rewards to locals to turn in IUD (bombs)components in return for for jobs helping me handing out tracts.

2nd-buy a nice house, cars, and travel
3rd-start a scholarship fund for all urban city school children with disadvantages within the city school system
4th-buy disadvantaged low income children with clothing and food
5th-build huge community centers within the urban low income areas for children to attend after school.
6th-give money to the AIDS researcher
7th-give money to St. Jude Children's Hospital
8th-buy my folks new houses
9th-shop til I drop
