Haven't done anything wrong yet... just pay your bill. THe best way to deal with it is to pay the balance on a monthly basis... ON TIME!

You can also pay the minimum amount, but you will pay a chunk of interest on it. just make sure your payments are ON TIME.

You're too funny!

If this is your first statement after charging $480, there's nothing wrong! There's only three ways to screw yourself over with a credit card:

* not paying on time (as per the statements you receive)
* going over the limit
* doing cash advances

As long as you pay off the minimum amount, you'll be fine! However, I would advise paying off the full amount ASAP to avoid interests.

Building credit isn't about carrying large balances or making monthly payments! In fact, simply using it on a regular basis and making timely payments is all you need!

No, everybody gets a statement. If you don't want to mess up your credit then pay on time and make at least the minimum payment.

as long as you keep your minimum payments on time your ok, but i would pay that thing down fast.

Remember, your check has to be (1) received and (2) processed and (3) cleared your bank by the due date. Some ppl think if the payment gets to them by the due date your ok. Wrong! Pay minimum payment immediately and pay more later if you can. You do not need to wait for a statement to pay. Many times you can pay on line and that is very quick and secure.

Even better, pay off the entire amount if you can -- or as fast as possible, anyway.

Demerits to your credit occur if you pay your minimum monthly payment late -- don't let that happen EVER. Go hungry for few days if you have to, or take the bus instead of driving if you can't pay for gas -- but DON'T LET YOUR CREDIT CARD PAYMENT BE LATE!

The thing that messes up your credit is when you don't pay your bill.
