Depends on which country you are in!In India you have to go through so much paper work for opening account that you may well feel like dropping the whole scheme and go to a good old broker again

Yes, it is "easy to invest on stocks on the web". But to make money while doing it, you will need to do some homework and a little bit of luck. Most, if not all, could make money easily when the market has just bottomed out. But it will be a different story after that... like now with the threats of a US economic slowdown, terrorist attacks near this coming Christmas Day (warning by the British), etc.

if you have a bank account or credit card, it is easy to buy the stocks, but don't know the trick to picking the RIGHT stocks, haha.good luck!
