I just tried to buy three TVs for the new house at Circuit City. I bought the TVs on Thanksgiving and intended to pick them up instore with a UHAUL last Thursday Nov 30th. On Nov 27th I found the same package at Circuit City selling for 800 dollars less. I called and asked if they could price match for me and they said yes and to just print the page and bring it in store. To make a long story short. I went in the store and Circuit City manager told me he couldn't possibly come down 800 dollars even though I had the information printed out. They did not honor the guarantee and I made them refund what would have been about a 5000 dollar sale. I will never do business with Circuit City again.

If you are looking to buy any electronics around Christmas or for the New Year I would steer clear of them because of this. I ended up buying the rest of the stuff at Best Buy and Boscovs. Can someone tell me what I did wrong?

Along with his official receipt after staying at our hotel, a foreign guest (Nigerian) asked me to give him a blank receipt, stamped. I thought that was a bit odd but OK I did it, but afterwards he asked for more..... Could I get into trouble for doing this, issuing blank receipts?

Any advice would be much appreciated. I looked online for any sort of scam linked to this but came up with nothing.
