This is my opinion. If you feel that you've accomplished all your going to in this carrer why not move on where your talents well be appreciated and you once again look forward to getting out of bed to go to a place you make a difference at . Im in my 40s and am just know making a career change. My motto, when you decide that you've learn enough, then you might as well be 6 feet under. Knowledge is power so keep at it and use yor talents were there most needed.

Years ago when I was employed by General Electric Credit Corporation I had the opportunity to attend a meeting with Jack Welch who became their CEO and is now a "legend" in the business world. He gave a thought that I still think about often:
"If you weren't in the position you are in today, would you be fighting to get into it tomorrow? If that answer is "no", you owe it to yourself to go out there and find the one that is worth fighting for."
Change is sometimes scary but sometimes you have to change gears to find that job that is both challanging and rewarding.
Good Luck!

If you think that there is nothing more you can do to improve the current situation of your present job, yes, it's time to look for something else.
But, just make sure you don't quit your current job until you have everything settled and ready for your new job, so that you don't stay without money.
Best of luck

why give up without at first attempting to fix the problem...ask for a promotion or transfer, get a new challenge...the point here is initiate a discussion.

yes-I'm a dishwasher, have been for 10 yrs., I hate it, but since it's close home, they don't wanna loose me, I'm not in a rush to find a new job, unless one comes around.(-it's better than "no job".)
