Serious answers PLEASE!

I was working for a small family company, my contract stated that I was not entitled to company sick pay only statutory.

Ok so far!

Only I was in hospital for a week (5 days) and my boss paid me regardless (nothing was ever mentioned)

This occurred back in July, I have since left the company (on a good note) in November and I had a holiday entitlement of 5.5 days due to be paid to me.

Still wif me!

Now My boss has paid me but he has deducted the sick pay that he paid back in July - I know that he has paid other staff who have been off sick and not deducted it again!

Although I feel this is highly unfair - CAN he really do this ? I am certain that shoud I have stayed this would never have occurred.

Here is the thing I work for a company who has sorta changed hands or is still in the transition faze. There have been several changes in both policy and employee requirements and expectations none of which I have been consulted about in any manner even though these changes affect me both directly and indirectly both as an employee and as an associate of this company. I do not like alot of the changes like direct deposit is now a requirement where befor it was not even an option no choice in the matter whatsoever automatic. I drive a truck as in 18 wheels. My assigned tractor was governed with out my knowledge or concent , without even telling me period. When I questioned the sudden loss of power and speed I was first told keep an eye, what you think is wrong, keep us informed, ect. Then once i was positive there was a major difference in the way my equipment was performing and handling and took the necessary steps to diagnose the problem was finly told about the restriction. NOT ALL

Or do you simply allocate your assets between stocks and bonds and let an index/manager determine the sub-allocation by capitalizations (for stocks) and by maturities (for bonds)?

What do you gain from tracking the sub-allocations? You can always fine-tune your risk/reward characteristics of your portfolio to maximize your potential reward within your comfort zone by adjusting your top-level allocations between stocks and bonds.

I would like to buy my nephew a stock for Christmas. He is only 2 and I know he wont care about it now but he will in the future and so many people are going to buy him so many toys already that I want to get him something different. So I went to this site called "oneshare.com" but they have this fee called a transfer fee and all kinda extra charges. Where can I go online to buy a stock like this to give away without this fee or is it unavoidable? Or do you know of any other sites that may be set up to buy stocks for children? Thanks so much. He will appreciate one day!!!

I was average in school (decided to party instead of study), although I did excel in math. I've been out of school for 7 years and I'm going to start Junior College with being a psychiatrist as a long term goal. My family doesn't hesitate in saying that I'm smart enough to do it. I just don't know, I'm confident but then it intimidates me. The only mental exercise I've had lately was 6 years ago, when I completed a 2 year Avionics Technician course in 3 months.

I have 2 questions.

(1) which bank in india provides the best customer service for home loan ?

(2) could you please tell the home loan interest rate (fixed rate) of HDFC and ICICI bank ?

And finally , let me know the the name of the bank which provides the best customer service after taking a loan.

there has been a lot of bashing on ICICI customer service on home loan.
