No, not at all. being serious in job means being punctual at work, doing it with 100% sincerity, and being resposible.. You sure can enjoy your work.. You can be very jolly at work and yet be serious about it.. Enjoy your work buddy

No it doesn't but it sure helps others who don't know you think you are. You may not be but the stereotype is such that if you are unhappy people think you are serious.
