I have approx $50 to invest in the market up coming year. I have looked into a managed solution provided by financial institutions such as Fidelity and Merrill. And I am sure there a plenty of other as such. My question is if you had to invest this money would you do it on your own or let a professional handle your money? Sure trading on your own especially a novice such as myself can be risky however you would hope for higher returns and negate any fees. On the other hand it maybe a bit safer going thru financial organization such as Fidelity. I among others want to maximize my returns at the end of the year. What would you do?

I'm educated and have a marketing communications background. What jobs are out there for someone like me that don't require dealing with "customers" or "clients" throughout the day, every day?

I once held a job as a copywriter and was allowed to do my work with minimal customer contact. Out of all the jobs I've held, I enjoyed it the most, but am not sure I want to write. Any suggestions?

State of Florida, Broward County
My commercial lease invoice is as follows:
Rent 1500 + 6% tax = $1590
CAM + 6% tax
Insurance + 6% tax
Property Tax + 6% tax
= $490.78

Total "Rent" Payment due $2080.78

Is this right? Can my landlord charge sales tax on insurance and the property tax? Thank you for any help.

I'm not trying to be nosy. No One knows who you are on Yahoo Answers. It's fine not to answer, I am just curious what people live off of. I sometimes feel like I am way behind--I have an associates degree, and am 4 months away from obtaining a Bachelors degree, and it seems like I should be making more--I'm only making 12 bucks an hour.

When did the government authorize the credt card companies to increase your APR on their card even if you didn't miss a payment on their card, but another one? So if you miss a visa payment, your mastercard APR can go up. anyone know when the law was passed? i need a year.

I don't want to quit because 1. the money is good and 2. I worked very hard in college, and spent many years to be where I am at today. Also, if I DID quit, finding a job as a working director...well, let's just say the ODDS are AGAINST me. People have suggested to me: DO YOUR DIRECTING ON THE SIDE! I don't think I can make it in the industry just "doing it on the side" because: 1. accounting takes up most of my day (busy season, etc), and 2. I believe in order to have more of a chance to make it, I'd have to have FILM as my focus. It's kinda a dilemma. Any and all suggestions are welcome. THANKS and Happy Holidays!
PS. I don't HATE accounting, I just feel that my days are being wasted with it.
