I worked for a Dr. that was delusional and also he was doing illegal things. He let me go last Sunday with an e-mail. I had been there 6 months. I really don't want him on my resume' because I'm afraid of the reference that he will give. He was always on my back. He is also on drugs. He's very irrational. He let me go because I was "making to much money". Can anyone help me with this?

I mean, I know 3 people who either tried out for commercial or modeling at different agencies and never got a call back. I know it's like a competition out there. But it's really helpful to the one's trying out if the agencies post up what type of looks are they going for in order to go for the tryout/interview. It saves time and traveling that way.

I am ex-employee with vested stock options of company. First, is it right for the company to freeze my option account? And if the company freeze the trading under SEC rule, should I get extension beyond my option expiration date since I won't be able to trade within the 90 day after my termination of employment due to the trade freeze?

I graduate with my BS (in Computer Graphics Technology- 3D Animation) in about a week (December 17th). I have applied to 15 jobs as of writing this, have my resume up on about about 10 sites (a couple of staffing sites, general resume search sites, as well as creative/graphics-themed search sites). I have also emailed about 5-6 companies that did not have a specific link or form for applying. I've had maybe 3-4 rejections so far, one reply but it had no info on opportunities. I started applying in August and I've been looking in the Chicago region. After graduation, I'm hoping to go downtown and try to stop by in person at some of these places. Are my troubles pretty typical? Am I just not being patient enough? Am I doing something wrong? It's a little frustrating not having a job yet. I'm trying to network with people and professors I know, but nothing's come of it yet. Is it usually this hard to find a job after college?

i cashier at a hospital cafeteria (i often work alone from 2p-5 after the morning people go home. not too long ago a man (appeared out of nowhere) and said he and his family were not satisfied with our food and wanted a money refund. 2 months later-same story. 1 month later SAME STORY. he paces back and forth, hands in pocket and acts upset about the dis-satisfaction. first he says it was 34 dollars then when my lead asks him about it over the phone and tells him she cant authorize that much money refund, he says he never said that, and changes the story to 20 dollars or so. so she says just give it to him so he wont harass me any longer, so i do so. my main manager finds out about it and is mad and says if he ever shows up to press my security panic button and get away from him. however my manager refuses to let a 2nd co-worker work with me at nights on the weekends due to funding- this scamming man knows when im alone and knows when my manager is in, he purposely comes when im alone.

Or will it just look tacky? My major is in Ethnic Studies. I have taken Calculus I and II, some lab courses in Optics and Lasers, and I also have strong minors in Economics and Political Science. Is there still a possibility that I can land a decent job after graduation? I plan to work a couple of years while taking steps to become a Real Estate Appraiser later on and go for my Master's degree in Urban Planning. With this plan, I can graduate from college debt free and I don't have to take any additional student loans out. Any respectful comments would be helpful.

So, the spanish teacher at my school is from Guatemala. Today in class we were talking about Christmas break and she said how much she wanted to spend X-mas there with her family. I thought, what if we raised the money for her to go? So everyone likes the idea but we want to know what to do. can one individual file early to set the precedence on taking the standard deduction versus itemizing? In other words, if the first person files on Jan 1 & takes the standard deduction, and later the 2nd person files and itemizes, will the 2nd person get a letter later & be limited to the standard deduction???

I know most times it's best to file jointly, but that might not be possible & in absence of that the first individual would be better with the standard deduction.

Please only answer if you KNOW (no guesses).
