People never like feeling out of control. When they are in situations where they are vulnerable or inferior to another person, it hard. Any little thing about their superior will anger them, because they are not in control. As for the boss, usually because they are in control they like to excercise thier power by hanging it over people heads, which makes thier employees hate them more. Its how humans are. Not all of them, but most. I love my boss

because sometimes, the boss is just flat out stupid and fails to recongize the person that does the job might know a little bit better on how the job actually runs. Every day, day to day details are realized by us..not the person in the office 30-40 feet a way that hasn't ever done your job before. That's why.

You have to respect your boss. If you don't respect him/her you might as well move on. There are a lot of bosses that should not be in a position of authority. When that happens, the people that work for them have a problem. The boss has reached a level of imcompetance.

It's an authority thing. Adults don't like to be told what to do. If it's done right without the boss getting a power trip and a little common sense on both sides it works out both ways

My last job I hated my boss because she was a flake. She was a drama queen and made everyone in the office miserable. Her turnover rate was extra ordinary. I think she made it miserable for her employees and we lost respect for her, we had to remind her she was running a business.
I don't think all bosses are bad my current boss is fabulous and my boss at my first job was a great great man.

I really like my boss. He's a regular guy. He's got a big heart and if I didn't work for him, I would consider him a friend. He's easygoing and fun. He's a lttle tightfisted when it comes to giving raises, but I did my secret research and found, to my relief and disappointment, that it isn't personal. He's got everyone underpaid! I've been there for years, and I'm the newest employee. People have been there over 25 years. Most have been there since the beginning. It's like a big family.
