I mean, I know 3 people who either tried out for commercial or modeling at different agencies and never got a call back. I know it's like a competition out there. But it's really helpful to the one's trying out if the agencies post up what type of looks are they going for in order to go for the tryout/interview. It saves time and traveling that way.

Having cast commercials myself, I can assure you no one wants to waste your time. But the truth is, sometimes we don't know exactly what we're looking for until we see it.

We do know that in a creative business like advertising the only way to get a great commercial or print ad produced is to keep an open mind. Sure we may have a specific type of person in mind at the beginning, but every once in a while someone will walk in to audition, a type of person we never even considered, and we might actually change the script to suit that person. It all boils down to an indefinable "something" that a person has, a sparkle, an allure and all of a sudden we cannot imagine shooting the commercial or the print ad without that person. Our only intent is to produce the best possible ad.

My advice would be to keep going on auditions and be as alive and energetic as possible. And be sure to work on your acting skills. Sometimes the decision comes down to whether or not we think the actor can take direction and give us four or five different interpretations of the same handful of words, or even to be able to deliver a line without saying a word.

hay...this is a typical question you should ask to HR.I will try to answerer in shot.

All human beings in this planet are not same, and no one is perfect.
Agencies cannot afford to stick on one requirement and hire people.
So the best choice for them is to hunt for people with right attitude and train them to their requirement...

Hope this answers your question
