I work with a a guy who lacks social skills, not a team player but takes credit for work done by others. He listens loudly to republican talk radio and contains shows on sensitive issues like immigration reform, gay rights bans, abortion bans, the war on Iraq. I don't want to be lisenting to this all fking day! I would not mind music, but a radio station that it seems to be telling you that democrats are stupid, gays will go to hell, immigrants are terrorist, and god is the only powerful being on the universe. Im not sure if I should take it up with HR or my boss. He also likes to do "his own thing" and does not share any of his work findings with other team members and only with the boss.

Help me please before I pour gasoline on myself and set me on fire!

For the last 2 years or so, I have been searching for gainful employment. I am currently employed in a position that is headed nowhere and I am ready to move on and expand my career knowledge. Due to my having so many different unrelated skills, I haven't been able to narrow down my career choices. The career coach is supposed to help me determine my strengths and look for careers that fit my strengths. The cost is roughly $400 for 6 30-minute sessions. Given my desparation to move on, do you think it is worth a try? I won't have a problem paying for the sessions I just want to know if I should bother.
