How can a foreignor whose lived here in the UK for 3 years & who has all the right paper work etc AND also speaks the english language fluently find work ..???
The major obstacle being faced is that most of the work experience is from the country of origin and none from here in the UK.Why do most potential employers feel that the foreignors application does not have the relevant skills that they are searching for ...EVEN despite the fact that the foreignor is a University graduate with honors, who is also proficient with the Micro office package ,has administrative skills etc.

I know a great factor is inheritance/trust funds from parents, etc. But what do they do? Are they like Wall Street traders or something? Perfect Example: Kevin (Pam's ex-fiance) from Meet the Parents. There's a lot of people like that around here, but I don't personally know any of them. What career do they get into? What are their typical job titles, and what do they major in in college?

I've just started work through a Temp Agency, Adecco. I been 3 days into my training and it is going well. The assignment is temp to hire. I was in the process to be hired by a different company but they did not respond for over a month. Now they called me and I still want to work for them. How can I leave the temp agency, and the assignment while still being on good terms? I'm not sure if I have to finish an assignment first. I am not the type to leave jobs right away but I really wanted this other job that wants to hire me now. Help!

How can an insurance company deny a life insurance claim after a person has put good faith in that company by paying their premiums? Isn't that illegal?

I'm having a hell of a time landing a job. I've had 4 places hire me only to let me go on the first day of work. Here's why: in college i had a DUI (5 years ago), then right out of college I had another DUI(3 years ago) but this one was charged as a felony but after probation its now a misdemeanor on record. My credentials are BS in chemistry/Deans list, licensed in auto/home/life/health insurance, A+/MCP certified, 3 years business technology consulting. I would think that someone would take me. Oh yeah, I got let go from all these jobs even though I was up front and honest with them on day one and they still dragged me along for the ride only to recind their offer. Any ideas where I should look?

I am thinking about buying accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Good or bad idea? Have you had any good or bad experience with any life insurance companies? Denied claims? Fine Print? If so, please explain and tell me which company.

Thanks!

I have a scott trade account that i currently buy and sell stocks through. There is a feature in the "streaming" quotes section that allows you to see "Market Movers" and "top 10 stocks" (based on daily net increase, and daily % increase) These seem to be the stocks that from the begining of the day till the end pretty much have the highest increase in stock values. I have not actually invested in them yet, but have watched many opportunities to have made a good profit, come and go. I'm looking to possibly buy in to some of them, is this an incredibly dumb idea, or is there some way of making method to the madness and picking the ones that will do best of the best?

My roommate's bank account got messed up with pending deposits and so our rent payment check bounced... we have the money to pay it (and the late fees) a week late, but the leasers have already left a notice on my door that said pay-in-3-days-or-be-evicted (etc.)... has my credit been hurt by the bounced check since both of our names are on the lease?

Okay,so here's my situation. I have worked in the hotel/ hospitality industry for 2 years now and I recently applied for an assistant front office manager position at a hotel in the area. I've had one one-the-phone interview with the Human Resourses Director, another with the HR Director and the Front Office Manager, and one with the General Manager. I got an e-mail from the HR Director today for the final step in the interviewing process and its an online assessment test. I took the first part which was a simple agree, strongly agree, disagree, and strongly disagree test. The second part I clicked on said I only get 6 minutes to completel....so right there I am already under pressure. The next part had NOTHING to do with hotel hospitality....it was a MATH TEST! Now keep in mind...Math, in highschool, for me, was HORRIBLE. I am the most horrible in Math! I was positive they were going to hire me but after this math test I think I am doomed. Am I over-reacting? Nice answers only please!

They never fix anything in the building because they own 47 buildings. My bathroom ceiling was leaking for six months and I have a Manager who is really weak and timid and doesn't speak English. I pushed for the ceiling to be fixed, they fixed and then hit with a 10% increase. It is such a hassle.

I saw ad in local WSU (KS) paper for "DriveAdCar" and was curious if there was any RSS or other usergroups of people who were former participants or current participants, whether they had good experiences or what? I've tried various search engines. Or is it one of those thing where they are sworn to secrecy? Thanks.
