Since most consumers have an average credit card debt less than $3000 (for ONE credit card each), would a collection agency actually go through all this effort to garnish a debtor's paycheck when the debtor may have other bills to pay which may total thousands of dollars? Also, if it takes months to get a court hearing set up between the plaintiff and the defendant, isn't there a strong chance that the debt owed to the collection agency could already be paid down by the time the court hearing takes place? In other words, the credit card debt would be at a lesser amount than the initial amount that was first presented to court by the collection agency.

My daughter was sitting down and about to get off the bus, when she felt a bad pain in her ear, so she turned around and saw a kid with a blue paper clip in his hand then he ran to the back of the bus.I have called the school and they just keep telling me they will call me back. I feel like I should call the cops. She is 15. Her doctor said she has a hole in her ear drum.

loan. So basically they told me his private info and continued to harrass me for payment. I called the division of finance and they told me to submit a formal complaint both for myself and on behalf of him (since he is on a job site out of state) Today I received a letter form them addressed to he and I and it is a copy of what they sent to the person in charge at the company (a payday loan company) it reads as follows:
Dear Ms ?:
This office has received a request for assistance on behalf of SO and So (my boyfriend). As you can see from the attached materials (our complaint) that we have received, there are some questions raised concerning the way the loan was handled. We question the validity of any contract involving someone who is a the outset not involved in the loan. We would appreciate your review of this account and your advice concerning what has taken place. We would be especially intrested in whatever remedial action might be appropriate. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN????

I own an S-Corp and do consulting services through my S-Corp. I am the only person doing any work. Also, I find employment taxes to be a pain in the butt, calculating income and self-employment taxes, making sure I send the payments in on time, yada yada. Would it be ok to just consider myself an independent contractor for my company and 1099 myself at the end of the year? That way the IRS still gets their Social Security tax right, I just don't have to waste time with all the hassles of having an employee... So what I'm saying is, would this raise any red flags, and if I were audited would this be an ok thing that wouldn't get me in trouble?

I just wanted to know if anyone has called and if they have gotten the help to pay all their dept. One thing that get me confussed if how is it that they pay for your example: $6,500.00 dept and you only pay them back like about $4,355.00 and something? So what's the catch? I'm just so confussed. PLz can some one really tell me their experiences. Or this really works. Thanks A LOT!!!

What do you think about this? We are loosing are jobs to people in India and other country's around the world. I called my visa company and a man answered. He could hardly speak any English. He had all my financial stuff to do with my credit card. I asked him simple questions and he didn't even have the competence to answer my questions. I asked him what part of India he was in just to make sure that I suspected correctly and he said northern India in the Himalayas. People are always getting after the Mexican worker for doing jobs here that us Americans look down upon and all the while our jobs have went straight out of this country and went to India and other poorer counties because they can pay them way less than us. I think we should take a stand. What do you think. Don't fear the Mexican in this country fear the Eastern poorer counties that have your potential job and mine.

Serious answers here: do you enjoy going to your office Christmas party. I have been at my job a little over two years - they do a big holiday party at a banquet hall with an orchestra, food, drinking.etc. More than 300 employees and their spouses, guests attend. I have declined each time...I love my job and like my co-workers. But I hate to mix my personal life with my professional life. Plus I can't imagine that it's much fun for spouses when the conversation turns to work-related stuff ...what are your thoughts?

Not many people love their jobs but I LOVE MINE! Sometimes when I need to clock out and go home because I got a full day of work in, I will ask to stay longer. Sometime they say that I can't work any longer and then I offer to do work for free! Why is it that I love my job so much as to actually WANT to do work and not get payed for it?
