Why not? Unless he's a sexual predator, which is the lowest of the low. And unless she thinks she's far superior to him and let's him know it. He's probably way ahead of her in "life's lessons."

I know of teachers, CPAs, RNs, computer programmers that are married to convicted felons. With today's mandatory minimum sentencing, thanks to our politicians, one in 3 people have been arrested. One day, you won't have a choice about marrying someone with a record, unless we stop believing all the crap we see on the six o'clock news.

I'm with His Old Lady on this one. Sounds like someone has feelnigs of superiority over the guy already. Because of what he's lived thru, he might be a lot smarter than someone who thinks a master's degree is a big deal.

would a degree and a conviction make you see him differently, I know quite a few people that are very intelligent with out a degree, then again I know just as many people with a degree that are totally stupid, can you except this person that has paid his dues for the felony they committed , that is your question

Firstly it depends on what the person was convicted with, then if it is serious, then you might have problems with your career and the parents of your students. I say if you are in love then you take that chance, every single person in this world deserves a second chance at happiness. Go with your gut feel.

Yes, love has nothing to do with who makes the most money or who has the cleanest law enforcement records.
