8320 hours in a year

Around 2080 - that's 40 hrs/week times 52 weeks, and would include any vacation, holidays, sick or other days off. For example, if you have 10 days vacation, 10 holidays, and 5 sick days in a year, you'd only actually be working around 1880 hours in the year.

How many questions here can be answered by punching some numbers in a calculator?

Ok, get your calculator up and...

Take the number of hours per week - multiply by number of weeks in a year (52, in case you didn't know) - then take away 8 hours for every day of holiday, and public holiday.
