age is a number and has nothing to do with success in life. human beings are product of choice and this is what differentiates us from robots. robots do whatever the master says while human beings choose what they do. to be successfull or not is a choice you make. you will be successfull in life when you choose to. if you do what brings about success you will be successful and if you dont you can never hit success. your mindset, belief system, friends, approach to life, character, etc. determine if you will be successful in life or not. for instance, if you continue befriending people who believe everybody is not meant to be successful, why on earth do you think you can be successful. you have been on 40k a year either because you have refused to do what you have not been doing or that you are relaxed in your comfort zone. my friend rise, change your carrier, ask the successful their secret, take risk, be business minded and dont depend on hourly work [pay rise].

I think it's about how you feel more than assigning bliss to a particular level of income. For me, "making it" means that I don't have to worry about clipping coupons or going out to lunch, that I can take several trips each year and still manage to put some money away. I feel fairly comfortable -- naturally, I'd like to earn more money but, I value my quality of life and I want to enjoy it (and I recognize that to make more money, I've got to work more and harder!). I am much happier with where I am now than where I was when I was 30 -- which was 7 years ago for me. And, I definitely make more than I did when I was 30! The sky's the limit and I'm happy to relax on the beach beneath it.

27, I've had my ups and downs. I have never really "made it" in life yet but i have kept working diligently and the success is in the effort of staying in the game without getting discouraged.

I say you're a success if you support yourself and your family.
