I'm not sure where to start & what are the next steps. Do I make a prototype, try & sell the idea directly to a company, draw plans, register patents etc, and in what order? Is there a procedure to follow for someone at the idea stage?

Is it true that if you use the capital from the sale of an investment property and put that towards another property that you will not be taxed on the capital gains via tax? How does this work exactly?
And can you use the capital gains toward any type of property such as a primary residence or a second home or does it have to be toward another investment property to avoid paying capital gains tax on those proceeds?

I am looking into creating a small business (self) at first then possible adding one or two individuals. This business is doing business presentations, consulting, personal coaching, personal organizing, and other organzing self-help both on the business and personal basis in my region. I live in western Kentucky with easy access to several businesses and persons within 2 hours drive from my house (states include TN, KY, IL, MO, ARK)? I had thought of "five star organizing and consulting" as a name? Any other ideas?

I received a duplicate order from Hewlett-Packard. Per the customer service person I was instructed to remove the shipping label and write the return number on the box, then call Fed Ex for a pickup, all of which I did. Now, a few weeks later my credit card account has not been credited. I've called the customer service people several times, and received a transmitting tracking number for the return. I've called Fed Ex who say what I have is not adequate to track the item supposedly sitting at their warehouse. I've spoken to the supervisor at HP, and she, like everyone else, keeps referring my problem to the "return specialist", who is supposed to query Fed Ex about this, but nothing happens. Their excuse is that they don't have the actual tracking number to do this. One HP rep I spoke to told me that the return item had not been scanned since the initiation of the return, implying negligence. Yeah somebody dropped the ball. Where do I go next to get some action taken?

there's this "college financial counseling" company. it claimed to be a "leading" financial counseling company. there isn't one thing that comes up when I type in "Maglor counseling" (the company name.) it says its calling hours are 10am to 5am (weird.) however, when i called, there was no reply OR answering machine.

so i'm wondering: is it possible that you can get charged thousands of dollars just by calling a number? (i heard about it somewhere.) if so, what should i do?

I read that if you are late for work, you have to call their 1800 number and give your boss a confirmation number stating that you called the number. Isnt that a waste of time? I would skip it to try to get to work faster!

Is this wrongful termination?
