I sold a new laptop on ebay. Buyer declined to have the item insured. When he received it he claims that the screen was broken. I dont know if he broke it or USPS broke it. I told buyer that I couldn’t refund his money since he declined to have the item insured. He opened a Paypal Dispute case.

It is now day 38. Paypal has decided that I have to refund his money. However, Paypal has not contacted me at all during their investigation. They have not returned my calls or bothered to gather facts from my side.

I have a negative balance on my account. My credit card on file expired, so I'm ok there.

I didnt scam anyone, I have a good track record with eBay and Paypal. If anything the buyer may be committing fraud, but it seems like paypal already made their decision.

What can I do? Any help would be very much appreciate. Thank You.

I know that I'm not the only CRAZY person in this world, but I am about to start working 2 full time jobs (9am-5.30pm & 11pm - 7am) as a Secretary and a Hotel Front desk Host. I've always had 1 full time and 1 part time job, so I'm used to distributing my energy that way.
How should I plan my day? Travel time (one way) to work is roughly 15 minutes. I can dress the same way to both jobs.

Help?

Most of my living is made from using the internet, have you found it a source for creating an income.

Did the internet help you create a new money making idea, or has it assisted your already entrepernerial venture.

my electricity company (edf) have written saying for an extra 3.47 a month they will fix my electricity charges for the next 3 years - has anyone else had the same sort of offer and if you have, what do you think? i will end up paying over £40 a year more for electrcity which i think is ironic - paying more to stop paying more?! i also think once the 3 years are up they can just wack on one big hike. any thoughts?

1) So, I have lived in my home for 7 years. in '99 it was purchased for $155K. it is now worth $290K. I simply want to live in an apartment and invest this money in mutual funds. How can I calculate the capital gains I need to pay out?

2)
$290K-$155K=$135K That is under $250K, what exactly is the $250K exclusion?

I have arrived last year through the green card visa lottery program. I'm declared as resident alien for tax purposes . I would like to sell my house from my origin country and bring the money in the US to help build my new life here. Please, I would like to know if I must to pay taxes and if yes how much? Is the amount of the money transfered in the US related to any tax or other restrictions?
THANK YOU,

I own a web-based retail outlet selling books and we photograph the book covers (with the publishers' permission) to create images to go alongside the product descriptions on the website. I have become aware of a competitior in the market "stealing" my images (I know they're mine as I mark them discreetly!) for their own website. Cheeky! As you can imagine, I'm rather annoyed by this and would like to know how best to confront them to ask them not to use my work.
Many thanks for your time!

I took a teenager in for over a year. His mom and step-dad said that I can claim him on my taxes. The biological dad might try to, even though he did not care for him or pay child support for two years. I really don't care one way or the other if I claim him. The mom and step-dad are the legal guardians, but feel that it is only fair that I claim him. So, what do I need to do?

I'm trying to complete ten credits for my university during the summer. A good deal has arisen where I can get that amount of credits for considerably less than one would normally pay. It also involves a trip abroad. I need to save up about $3000. I dont have much money to start with (i.e. less than $100) but I feel that just letting the money I do have sit around in my savings account will not generate as much as I need to pay for this endeavor. Please help!! I have no idea where to start!
