I have a house which is under construction, and I currently live in a rented appartment in which I pay one third of my salary. Completing the construction of my house will cost about 50.000 Egyptian pounds as I live in Egypt. Banks don't give such loans especially I work in a private institution and they don't support loans for private employees.

From Philippines. I was offered to take a 3-month Toronto assignment but with a cash bond or a one-year service contract with my current employer. But I also have a pending application with an audit firm in New York, which I think I will be able to take in 2007 since I was one of those who were cut-off of the H1B Visa limit in 2006. By the way, the audit firm in NY will shoulder only US$5,000 out of a possible US$8,000. Would you take the overseas assignment?

I was there on a working visa, which meant that if I became unemployed or retired, my visa would be invalid and I would have to leave. I understand paying tax - I did use some public services, walk/drive on well-lit roads etc. However, since I was ineligible to receive unemployment benefit or pension in Japan, why did I have to pay for these from my salary?

Does one of the grantor/principal of POA can revoke his authority given to the grantee if the POA is given in the same document by a group of persons severally and not by individual document?
Say this group of persons are siblings, and one of them is revoking the authority he is giving the Agent?

This question relates to U.K. law.

I am owed a small amount of money by someone who is rather lax about home security. I could probably enter his house through an open door, take a laptop or mobile and send a letter stating that I would return the item on payment of the money that he owes me.

I realise the onus might be on me to prove that the money is owed, but there is an unpaid invoice and a recorded letter stating that I intended to take further action in order to recover the debt. If my proposed action is illegal, what law does it violate? It would not be theft since I have no intention of permanently depriving the person of his property. It would not be breaking and entering if I entered through an open door.

Under these circumstances would it also be legal to snatch someone's mobile phone in the street?

An answer with a reference would be appreciated.

The pay is only a couple of hundred better at the new place, but I'll be back to square one being a 'normal employee' but at a very
