There was a 26yo single mom and her 40yo boyfriend living across the hall from me. Before they got kicked out for making too much noise, they had tons and tons of various visitors -- many of them young females -- at all hours of the night. Most of the time, the visitors only stayed about 10-30 minutes. I've never seen anyone else in the entire apartment complex have this many visitors and so unrelentingly constantly. What, EXACTLY, do you imagine was transpiring? Detailed explanations appreciated.

we're purchasing a house and it's in escrow. the lender is charging $500.00 for the house appraisal, why is it so much. can we get it cheaper than that. also do they tell you what is wrong with the house if in case it does have plumbing or electrical problem. what other problems or questions should we ask before closing the deal. thanks!

Please help us! My husband and I desperately want to know (for the ex) if garnishments affect credit because he wants to go to an automatic bank debit to our bank account without Child Support enforcement doing it. And if we can get proof such as websites or who to contact would help us even more. Please help we have tried everything we can think of!

It's for a non profit agency but I figure by starting low, I can better familiarize myself with the agency and hopefully grow.

Say I buy a house for $100K whose price exactly keeps pace with inflation. If inflation runs at an average of 3% and if I own the house for 20 years, then in 20 years it will be worth 100K x (1.03)^20 or 181K. If I sold the house, I realize a (purely nominal) gain of $81K, but in reality I'd still need the entire $181K to buy a house of comparable value 20 years down the road (assuming they also appreciated at the rate of inflation). Isn't the tax on the ‘phantom gain’ of $81K unethical since it confiscates part of the purchasing power I tied up when I originally bought the house? It seems to me that this argument would apply to *any* capital asset held for a significant number of years in an inflationary environment, even in a "low inflation" environment like the one we have now. Am I missing something here, or is this blatantly unfair?

Hey, have you ever tried those dumb money making programs online? Yea, well I have spent the last of my money trying to find a decent site that would lead me into making money. It turned out that all the sites i bought had some kind of "sick" catch and they robbed me of my money, and wouldn't refund. The Key Club I am in (in high school) is a fraud and doesn't give schollarships as promised. Im about to start MCJ, Modesto Junior College and I need all the support possible. If you can, please donate. If you are interested, tell me and ill give you my address.
For those of you who think im lying, contact me and ill give you proof. GOD BLESS YOU ALL

I have invited a friend of mine to move in with me, someone Ive known for about a decade, we agreed to his paying me $400 per month to stay in my one bedroom apartment after he lost his apartment after a disagreement with his landlord. He moved in with me in mid september, and pretty much has the living room all to himself, he has a futon in the corner of the living room. I told him not to worry about paying me for the two weeks in September. When Oct 1st came he paid me $400, that was cool, it really helped me pay the $1,078.00 in rent. Then come the third week of October he tells me that he will be out of town in mid November for two weeks, and he will only be giving me $200 instead of $400
He feels that he should not have to pay if he is not staying there.
Even though this was supposed to be a temporary agreement from the start, he has not officially told me he has found a new place to land, and I am not feeling very upset and feeling taken advantage of. Who is Wrong?

I will finish nursing school in 3 years. I really like the weather of Southern California and I found a condo in Seal Beach that I can afford. For the best financial situation should I move to Orange County California or stay in Vegas? I'm mostly concerned about wages & the cost of living.
