I think you'd do well to interview for an internship with IBM. They are multinational, enormous, and have the best training programs I've ever seen. I had an internship with them in Washington D.C. I learned that they not only have a need for almost any type of professional but they encourage a person over the course of their careers to try different things. A little known aspect of IBM is that they are a great diversity company. If you are a member of a minority group they have great intercompany networks that help someone like you to find mentors and guides that are similar to you.

Any company is good. What matters is getting the intership and your performance while you're at it. Good luck!
