If they are Wal-Mart they do. First they eliminate all of the competition, make it impossible for workers in their market to be able to afford their products by eliminating manufacturing jobs in the US, then hire these people on in part-time positions so they don't have to give them benefits simply because the workers are so desperate and destitute at this point that they are willing to take ANY available job.

Then when Wally World is sure that they have employed enough minimum wage, government program dependent, uneducated and pennyless people, they approach the government for subsidies for hiring Right-to-Work and Welfare-to-work people.

It's an evil scam to ruin our country's labor force.

It is a universal truth that you get what you pay for or willingly accept.

Yes there are employers that like to capitalize from a position of fear, poverty and lack-- companies that do that however must accept the cost of that model.

Remarkable employers do take care of their employees, because their employees take care of their profit. Examples: Starbucks, CostCo, etc.

In our area they want you to be thankful for it and work though your breaks and lunch without pay if you will for the honor of getting that min wage job.

Saves money, which they can pass on to consumers. However, if they're getting crappy employees (or illegals) because the wages they pay are crap, cheap wages are no bargain.
