How do i know if tattoos are right for me?? i know i have in my mind that i want a few of them.. but i don't know if they will look right on me.. how can i find that out ? Any help ??? if so i would be greatfull

Ok this is for people who like tattoos. Those who dislike them need not respond.....
Ok I am getting a tattoo tomorrow, It is a tribal looking butterfly with some tribal designs coming off the sides of it and it will have my kids' names above the tribal parts....Now here is my question....I really want to add my husbands first name to it also. I asked him if he minded if I do it and he like everyone else asked me " well what if we divorce one of these days?" and I look at it like this, I have been with him for 14 years. He is the father of my kids and my husband, he is and always will be a big part of my life no matter if we did eventually get divorced, I would still love him. Him and my kids are my life and he is a part of my life that I will never and I never want to forget no matter where I am at in life. So back to the question....How would you feel if your spouse got a tattoo with your name on it?
I don't want him to feel obligated to get my name at all. Thank you.

i got a tattoo on my left sholder blade, its a little sore but i can deal with it. ( i already hove 2 so its my 3rd) and i got my tounge, lip (redone), and nose. My tounge hurts really bad. but the others arnt really that bad. My nose is tender when you touch it but its ok. And my lip...its sore but i have had it done before so i can live with the pain. But i have a ?. how long should i wait to eat with my tounge piercing?

I've been wanting my lip pierced for about for about a year, but before I do anything, I want to make sure that I know all the facts, risks, different things that have happened to people so I know exactly what I'm getting myself into. I've done some research, but any more advice and facts that you know of please let me know. And if you have a personal story when you got a piercing, the side effects, negative/positive outcomes. And what about teeth. If I got a simple piercing on my lower lip, what could it do to my teeth?? And what's the pain on a 1-10 scale. I'd like to know anything really. Thanks :)

planning to get a complex tribal half sleeve, tat artist says as long as i get the outline i could do the shading and coloring later (due to less money). Is this true?

Job will cost up to 800 to 1 G.....400 up front for the outline. Then when I have 200 or more- he could pick up where he left off. Then again (4 sure no more than 3 sittings for this tatt) he will finish it off.

Is this a good thing? i already trust and my friend recommended this tatt artist.

I want to know for a tattoo Idea I have. I'm going to have them in old style calligraphy handriting, and want to be absolutely sure they translate to that before I start commiting, I don't want one without the other. Or maybe could somebody reccomend where I could get them as one tattoo but both words show when read opposite ways?

I find tattooistry a beautiful art form and am not looking for amazing pieces as much as things lat look great while representing things.

Hence I want a few things answering, It will be much appreciated.

My sister is getting a small soccer ball tattoo on the inside of her ankle right above the bone, and she was wondering approx. how long it will take to heal? How long should she wait until she can play soccer again? Can she take a week off and then after just wrap the tattoo in gauze when she plays? Please do not guess on a approximation. She needs to plan when to get it since her soccer schedule is so demanding. Thanks!

I got my belly button pierced In February and it was doing weird things and overall I decided I did not want it anymore so I took it out on the 4th of Juy. The hole is closed all the way but now Ive got dark, almost black spots, where my holes use to be.. Kinda look like bruises or the marks left behind from scabs if you pick at 'em too much. Will these go away or are they just gonna shrink and fade over time, not completely going away?

I want to get my first tattoo. It is a treble cleft (band thing) in two hands. Because God gave me the gift of music. I just don't know where to get it where it won't hurt to bad. I also want it where I can hids it at work but show it off at night and whenever I want to. Any ideas. I would love the help. And for those of you who go don't get a tattoo just don't post. I want this and I only want to hide it at work. I am a nurses assistant and need to. So just don't go there. But if you have useful advise post it I need the help. THANKS!!!!!

I've been ill with tonsillitis and have been on a course of penicillin. I'm better now, have been for a few days, but I'm on the medicine until Saturday.

How long do you have to wait after being on meds before getting a tattoo? I've looked on google and various sites but can't find anything that helps.
