It should be legal for underage kids to get tattoos with their parents consent!!! But I think this law varies from state to state!

You have to have an id to get a tattoo. Most places state issued photo is required. Certain states you can get a tattoo under 18 but id is still required and parents or guardians must give permission. Children are allowed in some shops, depends on state law and shop policy.

I got to wander around my local tattoo shops without any trouble as a younger teenager. I talked about getting tattoos done with the artists and stuff. I've seen people come in with their little kids too, though they stay in the waiting room while work is done. When I finally did turn eighteen and get work done, I had to sign forms and get my ID Xeroxed also.

What planet do you live on? Most of the tattoo places here want to see your ID just to be in the building. If you aren't 18 you have to get out. They don't even allow kids in there with their parents.

The place I go to photocopies your ID onto a whole sheet of information that you have to initial next to each line and sign at the bottom.

that wrong they are not to give you a tattoo till your are 18 but some places do but if they get turned in they could lose there license

No. Almost every parlor will want an ID. And if they don't ask for one, then you don't want to get your tattoo there. That means they usually aren't licensed.

ya if ur with ur like parents or something but ya there gone ask 4 ur id if htey dont not only could they be shut down they coud all be arrested and held for a heavy fine i do believe

Yeah, they do...assuming you are at a reputable place. When I got mine done, I had to fill out paperwork, sign forms, and let them make a xerox of my driver's license.

i live in malibu and if any kid under 18 is seen in tattoo shop here, they call the cops.
