Ok this is for people who like tattoos. Those who dislike them need not respond.....
Ok I am getting a tattoo tomorrow, It is a tribal looking butterfly with some tribal designs coming off the sides of it and it will have my kids' names above the tribal parts....Now here is my question....I really want to add my husbands first name to it also. I asked him if he minded if I do it and he like everyone else asked me " well what if we divorce one of these days?" and I look at it like this, I have been with him for 14 years. He is the father of my kids and my husband, he is and always will be a big part of my life no matter if we did eventually get divorced, I would still love him. Him and my kids are my life and he is a part of my life that I will never and I never want to forget no matter where I am at in life. So back to the question....How would you feel if your spouse got a tattoo with your name on it?
I don't want him to feel obligated to get my name at all. Thank you.

If its what YOU want to do then YOU do it. Who cares what anybody else thinks. Later on down the road if it comes down to it, and you do get a divorce, you can always get it covered up or turned into a different name, like your own...

I love tattoo's and my husband too, but if down the road for some reason he cheats on you or really hurts you somehow it would be a constant reminder of that pain. If it is somewhere on your body that you don't necessarily see, then I say go for s--t.

man... i would feel great if a girl asked me that question and i would get hers on me, but keep in mind a have a few tatts already. lol. i know ppl say things like why would you do that? to me it is a gesture of love and if you want it get it. it doesnt really matter what other ppl think.

for me personally, i would never get my husband's name. but that's just for me.
however, i do find it to b a romantic gesture. and if u really want it then i say go for it. i mean you can always get it covered up if you need to right, so if you want it then get it!
ur tattoo is for u and ur own sentiment, so i wouldn't think it would make him feel obligated. and if ur worried about it, just explain that to him i'm sure he would understand and he might even find it sweet.
