Theater & Acting - June 2007

I live in a small community and we don't have many rescources for this type of thing. We have gone through the school a couple of times but they always have the last word and are not willing to be flexable. I would like to start a community theatre group, where we can be flexable and invite all types of community members to join in.

I know that you hear about people wanting to be an actor or actress. Or to be a model. Sometimes they just say it as grins, but im not. Acting is my dream, my passion. I want to get my name out there and known. I live in Colorado and need an acting agent. Google search hasnt helped me any. None at all. I need anything i can find! please help.

Does anybody know how i can get the email and address of Steven Spielberg? Iam trying to audition for an acting career.
Or does anybody know how i can contact any directors and producers Emails and addresses? Please, i would like to act.
Don't tell me to go to "auditions.com" or "hollywoodtalent.com"
I have been there, done that! No luck. And please be honest with your answers. I want to get into show business. I want to be a celebrity. I want someone like a true honest director or a talent agent to hire me after i write a letter to him. In the letter i intend to tell him all about myself, my interests and hobbies.
And why i should and want to be an actress. I want somebody
to tell me how to find certain directors/producers or real true,
honest talent agents. One who won't charge a fee. Because, i
have no job right now. That's why i need to know how to find their addresses and emails. I have already done some research online and found no luck at all. I don't want to be scammed.

I'm going to have to audition in like a week for a play, but here's some info: It's a cold read...I don't need a monologue; I just basically want some tips on what to wear, how to fix my hair and makeup and probably how to stand out if everyone has to read the same piece. We have at least four boys to work with (more in a pinch) and any number of girls. We were thinking of a whodunit or possibly a comedy (or both). Our school has fairly good acting talent, but we have to build the sets ourself so a simple set would be appreciated by everyone.
