It sounds like you're ambitious enough to be a Disney kid, but you need to add acting to that list of attributes. You need to get into some classes and get an agent.

If you want to find a legitimate agent to represent you for commercials, TV & film go to Sag.org. Use the dropdown menu on the right labeled 'resources' and choose 'agent information'. On the next screen, on the left choose 'Find a SAG franchised agent' and follow the directions. You can look up agents all over the US, but there are higher concentrations where the work is (Los Angeles, NY, IL, FL, GA etc.). For Disney inparticular it's likely to be Los Angeles or Florida.

Then you can send them your headshot, resume, and a cover letter stating that you are seeking representation and wait to see if they call you in for an interview.

Good luck!

I'll post this yet again:

"The Disney Channel" doesn't have auditions. It's not a junior high play. The shows on the Disney Channel have casting people who send out what are called "breakdowns" to registered agents. These are lists of roles that are being cast and the types of actors that are needed. The agents then comb through their clients to see if any of them meet those criteria. If they do, those actors (or the video reels of their previous work) are sent out to read for particular parts. The network doesn't just hold an open audition and hope that people will show up.

You're not going to get seen by anyone at any of the production companies just by contacting them and telling them how much you like their shows. You need to have a legitimate agent who will send you out for jobs, and even then the odds are slim of A) even getting an agent in the first place, B) getting sent out for something, and C) getting sent out for a show on the Disney Channel.

There is a job warehouse looking building in orlando, fl where u can go and put in ur resume for disney!!

I would check there websites for casting calls

But i think what would help u the most is to get a talent agent. They will find casting calls for u. I think that would be the best option!

but like everyone else said since like High School Musical a lot of kids want to be on the Disney Channel so u have to have a lot of talent to beat out the other kids

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

The best place for you to be is LA. Occasionally Disney will tour around America for youth auditions, but in LA you can audition for them almost all the time.

If you are in NY, try auditioning for Nickelodeon; it's a great way to get noticed by Disney.

However, if you are in neither city, take acting classes, audition for your school and community plays, and see if you can get a local agent. Then you'll get headshots taken, which can cost you up to $750 outside of big cities. (Getting them done by a friend is always ineffective; so be sure to pay a professional HEADSHOT photographer, since Portrait photographers aren't right either.)

Save your money; you'll be investing a lot into the tools that go along with becoming an actor.

Break a leg!

You need to take this seriously. Nobody starts on disney channel here and I wish you kids would realize that. The people who are on disney channel are there because they have professional agents and started super young. This isn't something like an after school activity, this is a career that millions struggle with everyday and would be insulted if you took it lightly. Go to school, take some acting less ons, read some books and get yourself informed of what actually goes down. There's more out there then disney channel.

I'm a twelve year old fantasizing to be an actress, so naturally I've spent a good portion of my time on the net looking for a way to get on a movie without living in LA or New York, which does severely decrease your chances due to the majority of talent agencies being located in that general area, what I would suggest though would be an agent. From what I've seen, they can be a bit costly but unless you happen to catch an undercover talent scout's eye, that's how people get into movies and on TV.

i'm also 12 and i love acting. Right now im auditioning for jane banks for mary poppins on broadway. I've been on disney channel once. What you have to do is find an acting agency that's not over the internet because those are scams. They will notify you when there is something for disney channel. I wish you good luck ; )

I think it's more important to get a good education. But if you're really serious about this then I would suggest getting a good talent agent. and go out for as many auditions as you can. And also make sure that your agent knows that you want to work for the Disney Channel.

Researching stars like Vanessa Hudgens, Miley Cyrus and Hilary Duff, its clear that their "big break" was starring on the Disney Channel, but not first on their resume. My best advice for you is to get a local agent that specializes in young clients. They will let you know what opportunities are in the area. This will take some convincing to your parents because it will cost time and money, but assuring them that school will always come first can help. Print ads in local clothing stores, small roles in commercials, these steps will get you started. It won't be easy and you'll have to take criticism well, but what do you have to lose, right? :) Good Luck!!
