I recently went for an audition, and the the casting director was so rude, he didn't bother asking my name, he saw the colour of my skin and asked where I came from...when race, as a presenter? plays no role whatsoever. and then he ushered me out the door claiming he wasn't doing screen tests that day when I had already seen other people infront of a camera. he didn't say goodbye and didnt shake my hand and absolutely no thankyou whatsoever. he's now just emailed to tell me i havnt got the part...stating the obvious...should i reply and tell him how rude he's been?

What should I write, should I lie, or tell the truth, but if I tell the truth I wont get anywhere probably, so i don't know please help give me some tips in acting resume's. Please help me out maybe tell me some cathy things I could write or something.

I need a couple new audition songs .
I am a soprano, do not belt (yet!). I am blonde and blue eyed. I usually play the princess type character. Character acting isnt my strong point but Im not bad either..Just not exceptional. I am 15. I would like age appropriate songs. I am willing to do duets that can be turned to solos liek Defying Gravity. I also do not want the song to be overdone like I Enjoy Being a Girl and Popular.
Any Ideas?

My friend Ashlee and I are auditioning for the Ohio State Theater for the Singing Angels for next years spring concert. Our director usually picks broadway songs. Do you know any duets suitable for teens?

I've been acting now for about 4 years. So far I've done films, television, industrials (for companies), voice over work, commercial print work.

I've just published a book and created a web resource for brand new actors and I'm working on adding to the site, so I have a question for you all.

I'm really interested to know: what is your most pressing question you have about acting or about any aspect of acting?

Thanks!

Tony

I really have no other passion in life other than acting! I cannot imagine doing anything else; and yet, I should probably have a university degree in case. What should I do?

And... If I get a degree? What should I choose? Everything is simply blase!

I've read a million questions about how to break into acting, and all the answers say to get an agent, but how does one do that? and how do i ask my parents (i'm 14 and a half and have been in many shows)? they are supportive of me doing theatre for now, but i go to a really good school and they want me to be all academic. i kind of want to do it with my friend, but i don't know how to ask her either.

I have heard various reports on the Academy for Musical and Dramtic Arts - some people say that AMDA is legitimate and a good way to get started, and others say the industry considers it a joke and won't respect a certificate program, but only an actual degree. What have actors experienced with this?

This could mean in terms of style, performance, presence(on stage or in film), being believable, or how versitile they are.

My friend is moving there soon. She has several connections but still wants to know the best agencies to contact (she's scared of getting scammed and wants legitimate, established businesses.) New Yorkers, and New York actors/models - which agencies do you recommend?
